Barbershop (Rift)

Scheduled to launch with Rift patch 1.9, the Barbershop is now on the PTS.

For a fee, characters can change any aspect of their appearance aside from character race or gender. The price ranges between simple cosmetic procedures - new hair colors, or new styles - up to significant, dramatic alterations such as height changes, facial features, and skin tones. You can see the total combined cost of your current changes while in the customization screen.

• Stylist NPCs can be found in Meridian and Sanctum. Their shops are identified with a barber pole icon on the mini map.
• Talking to a stylist will enable you to enter the barbershop. While in the barbershop other NPCs and players are hidden. To exit the barbershop just hit the cancel button.
• Adjusting features works exactly like the character creation interface.
• Each feature has a fixed price, sub totals are tallied by category and a total cost is displayed at the bottom of the screen.
• Simple changes such as hair color are fairly inexpensive, while more dramatic changes such as height or face shape are significantly more expensive.
• If you don't like your changes then you can reset any individual category or the entire session.
• When you are finished pay your fee and voila its a new you!

There are no plans to allow players to change gender or race initially. There are also no immediate plans to add additional customization features.

All prices are from the PTS and are subject to change. They were tested on a level 50 Eth Rogue.
