If you lose Stavel, return to Sylver. Lead Stavel to the piles in the area so he can reveal the Basalt Barriers.

Upslope, and up the switchback to the left, you will find the Pumice Filter.

Go downslope from Sylver (east) to the bottom and find the Obsidian Reflector.
