You do have to clear G-7 and G-6 out to get it to pop "both areas"
I spent hours just doing the place holder thing and nothing but when I cleared both areas out 3 times it poped every time!!
hope this helps any confusing......
Pop Location

I fought and widescanned his pop in (G-7), on the East side of the block, perhaps a tad southerly.

Also, an Ice Elemental spawned in the same place shortly after I vanquished Mr. T.T.

(I used 'vanquished' in a sentence! ^^)

Hope this piece of antedoctal experience helps someone.

I got this guy to pop and he dropped the sandals for me. He spawned in the eastern half of G-7, further south than what is indicated on the map. I killed saplings in G-6 and G-7.
NO! way this thing spawns every 3-4 hrs

where is this BCNM?
Very Useful
# May 29 2005 at 11:40 AM Rating: Decent
Ahhhh but you are all wrong. These sandals can prove to be very useful indeed.Just the same as the Mal- rings. There is a BCNM where any stats from equipment you have is reversed. So therefore if you had these, you would have +10 AGI and DEX
Whatever ;p

It has to be something massive like plus +11 dex and +11agi to make up for loss

Um...then you'd have +1agi and +1dex. Why?
never poped
# Apr 02 2005 at 6:45 AM Rating: Default
camped it for 4hrs with ranger sub and didnt see it pop the whole time.
spawn time
# Feb 25 2005 at 11:05 PM Rating: Decent
I have been camping this NM on Caitsith for the last week or so and the spawn rate appears to be 3-4 hrs. I am currently 0/2.

Finally got the drop on the third try. I would say the spawn is closer to 3 hrs.

Sandle
# Jan 08 2005 at 12:37 AM Rating: Excellent
Well, this stumbling sandles are for another mobs where when you have -X agi and -X Dex... He use your (Gob) your minus so after that switch back to normal equip and "easy" fight!
Food?
# Dec 13 2004 at 10:18 PM Rating: Default
So when you use the Opo-opo crown and eat a certain food (food name evades me now, but its a banana) you get a Chr and MP boost. Now just by looking at the Crown you'd be like "wtf!!!!!". So what I am getting at is, has anyone ever tried eatting random foods with this for Thief or any other job and seen if there is a dex/agi boost. It has to be something massive like plus +11 dex and +11agi to make up for loss, that'd be cool tho. Even then it'd only be worth it, if it gave a boost of 13 each or more, anymore and my mouth with start to drool.

Sorry ShoSaiyasu, but boots cannot be worn by Thf. so I am unsure how YOU wore them to skill up your Thf. Please check facts b4 you make stories up.
Drop rate
# Nov 02 2004 at 12:17 PM Rating: Decent
I was just wondering about the drop rate on these sandals, because they sell for a lot on the AH(Dont remember price off the top of my head), and I was wondering if he is over camped or what? So if anyone could tell me, that would be great ^^

Considering that parry/shield block is affected by agility, they only skill up this is best suited with these boots equipped would be evasion or guard. Lower agility = lower chance of blocking/parrying.

wear them before fighting Maat (along with things thaty give other - stuff) then switch to your better equipment so Maat will start with bad stats so he's easier to kill
