Soloed the level 75 version. Bind and Gravity were easy to stick - no resists despite 7-8 gravities with no staff or an earth staff. Does not link with surrounding Karakul. That means if you're careful, you can just Poison II/kite it to death without getting hit. I went melee part of the time, and it seems to pop 2 Chigoes every 100% TP.

I meleed because it has a lot of HP - 10k at least. It has normal evasion but hits a bit hard - 80-100 with cocoon or earth staff (but not both), plus phalanx/jelly/cheviot cape. I switched to Earth Staff and bound it when Chigoes popped out. Phalanx + Blaze Spikes kills them in ~2min without causing you to lose claim.

Wish I had brought a dagger instead, as well as a shield. Then I could melee almost full time and clear the chigoes with cyclone. Or as RDM/BLU it's practical to keep stoneskin up back-to-back and use ceremonial dagger.
green ish

After successfully duoed this NM with a thf friend of mine I went back to Caedarva Mire to farm Karukul skin. To my surprise this NM spawned after several kills. Quickily switched to RDM/NIN I grabbed a ceremonial dagger from AH and proceed to solo it.

Keep the NM properly debuffs he never hit me for damage, just slowly grind it down with enfire and poisonII and he didnt use a single WS or spawn any chigoe. BTW, this was the first time I ever melee in Errant body which basically lowered my dagger damage to 0 even with criticials :P

NM has about 9-10k hp and took me 20-30mins to kill, chainspelled blizzardIII at the last 15% hp though. Nightmare gloves dropped :P still not sure what to do with them and they are equipable by RDM >.> Looks like another piece of junk to me.

Killed this guy the other day. 75THF (me), 75 SAM, 75 BLM. I tanked it just fine, my evasion is pretty high, and he is like the normal sheep when it comes to accuracy (aka, not that accurate unless you need him to miss). The key to this fight is killing the chigoes. The BLM couldn't AGA the chigoes because she would pull too much hate on the NM so the SAM brought a Sword and used Circle Blade when the chigoes came out (1 AOE weaponskill kills them, no matter what it is). He pops them out so quickly, there was a couple times the SAM didn't TP so I used Cyclone (I was holding my TP as well, no WS damage was done to the NM at all). The BLM only cured and enfeebled. There was a couple times she stunned the NM when neither the SAM or I had TP for the chigoes, so it bought me some time to put my shadows back up (even though the chigoes are amazingly accurate, I can usually get Ni off after a couple tries).

Took about 15 minutes because there no WS damage, but went very smoothly. You just need a couple people that know what they are doing and listen well. Communication is huge in this battle.
not as hard as you think

seriously... get a normal xp party to kill it, prolly could be done with less. Whenever the Sheep uses a TP move it spawns 2 Chigoes which share the hate with the sheep so they will go after your tank. When the sheep uses TP, have BLM sleepga then cast aga on the chigoes. Easy stuff. The BLM needs to have poison pots though because sheep song is AoE sleep and the only way you will be running into any trouble is if your mages are slept and your tank is getting the hell knocked out of himby the sheep and 2-4 chigoes.

I'm 0/2 on the damn sheep, getting 3 fire crystals each time...

This thing is NOT easy to kill. I spawned it on accident by killing the local sheep. After checking it's level online, I knew I could not take it myself. Luckily there was a LS mate in the area (in a merit PT). They were about done so they came down to the pond and formed an alliance with me.

Even though I warned about A) the chigoe spawns and B) the blood aggro from Jnuns (or w/e they are called) the party still managed to do just about everything wrong and we wiped.

Later, as I was still in the area, I saw roughly 3-5 experience points parties come down and try their luck... all wiped. This thing is not a HNM, but it is hard due to rapid chigoe spawns. If you want these gloves be prepared to bring some crowd control.
is it 21-24 hours in a day?

how long does this nm pop?
chigoes o.0

This mob seems to pop a chigoe or two every certain percent of its HP, in addition to every time it does a WS. If you try to kill this too fast and ignore the chigoes, those things cut you down.

Take care, I sent in a pet and shortly after (while I was still invis) 2 chigoes popped by it and were on my back all the way to Nashmau >< btw it made quick work of my leech

ok edit : i guess all the sheep there pop the chigoes.
