Soloed this as 75 RDM/BLM. The fight was cakewalk with no danger the entire fight. It did not resist Bind or Gravity once. I applied all dots, including elemental dots, and nuked time to time. It only got 1 incinerate off for 0 damage with Stoneskin and Barfire. The fight took me about 20 minutes.

322 EXP and a Fire Crystal. Yaaay.

Some RMT showed up today. Ruin my camp, and eventaully killed me though their camping process (killed all my pet).

I am fine with ppl steal my camp (Or say, got used to it since I started bst). But I guess I can never get used to the attitude (RTM showed up and said "Get out").

For whoever interested where this NM pop, it pops at H-9. Next to the beach and RMTs killing the 2 crawlers under the tree. I believe thats the pos.

For whoever attempt to fight this thing, remember one thing: barfira is your best friend here.

Crawler's normal attack can be easily tanked with utsusemi ichi and ni. The only thing that's rough for nin or /nin tank is incinerate, which go through utsusemi and can almost wipe a thf/nin. I have seem ppl fighting this mob without thinking the usage of barfira, and most likely that will do you no good. Also, bio/dia/elemental buff should be also considered helpful, since it has very high def and slashing weapon will do 0 (sad fact for bsts, most likely pets you can find around this mob will do 0, too, so bst cannot really steal this NM even if the pt fighting the NM is down).

A set-up of 1 nin/war tank (try elemental Ni spell for dmg and hate), 2 thf/nin, 1 support healer (haste the pt and keep barfira up and back-up heal), and 1 main healer can take this thing down easily.

Friend told me this guy was up so went out there as 75 rdm/nin with all my staffs
Did the bio and poison while kiting method. Was working very well until 2 RMT showed up
and started spamming cures and haste/protect on me. I lost hate and they tried to run off with it
so I would lose claim. Luckily I cast bind on it, put /blockaid on and didnt lose
it, but it would still go after the RMT every now and then.

So 75 rdm/nin a long time of kiting and bio/poison got the staff and the tekko 1/1
and got to **** off some RMT. HAPPY DAY :D

Not tooo bad of a fight...

Hey all... Lol Literally my First post.. so.. Be nice!
I was talking on the LS.. and one of our LS Bsts-Quetzal- said Energetic Eruca was up. Btw, I'm in HNM/God ls; Bonafide. I told him I was bored and was jokingly say, "Oh really? Lol I wanna com solo him!" Everyone in the LS said I couldnt, lol. So I traveled out there, went Rdm/nin ofcourse, and proceeded to where he spawns.

The fight only took about 30 minuts tops.. It really is not that hard..AT ALL, I dont see why not anyone could solo it (Rdm/nin ofcourse.) I Started with a Thunder III for 470 and then Bound it and Gravity'd it.. put on Bio II and Poison II. He hardly resists anything ever.. I had one resit towards the VERY end of the fight, and that was bind.. only cuz I left my Ice staff in the moghouse becuase I was in a rush!

Sorry for the long post, WALL OF TEXT right? Well, none the less, the basic thing I did, I would keep up protect and shell (which told me it was a 30 min fight, becuase it wore off RIGHT before I killed him) have stoneskin up at all times thats a must, and make sure you have patients!Lol- Just keep yourself refreshed, Keep Bio on him, And Poison II. When his "Weight" wears off, bind him, run off a little, gravity him again, and Bio II and Poison II agian, and refresh yourself till you have enough MP to Thunder III him again, you dont have to Thunder III, its just about an extra spell to throw in~ It did about 470 on average for me, give or take it resisted(which it did twice for about 132~) ... Sorry for the long post, but this guys a push over! It was all fun and such... thx!
Hope the info helped ya!
-Death
Edit: Oh yea, It would also help, that the bst- Quetzal - helped clear the extra mobs in the way for me, could have been done without him, but he helped a lot! Oh and since your gonna be using convert once or twice.. Make sure you do it before its night time or you in big doo-doo!
Rdm/nin solo

it is soloable by a rdm/nin with wits. rdm is my second job, smn being my first, so no uber gear for rdm, took me about an hour. slow and paralyze are a MUST. with slow shadows r ez, para helps with spells and such. when hp was low i just bind grav kited and healed, or waited for convert retimer. used joy toy and misericorde. i ignored cocoon cause my primary dmg was from enspells and ws's (spirit taker). BARFIRE takes incinerate down to about 150-200 dmg. poison and bio are nice, but not required. ss and phalanx at all times. fun fight. new thing for a rdm/nin to try out.

Where'd you get 215 Staff skill from for Spirit Taker, exactly? RDM has 0 staff skill. NIN has 0 staff skill.

Yep, spirit taker isn't DD and can't be used with a sword like he said he used.

so i was in a party heading towards the orc on mount Zhayolm, but we sorta got lost. At the end we ran into this thing, and our pld died from incinerate, so our thf tanked it. Thnk god he had Ni. So the strange part was the thf and the blu hit it for regualr damage 30-40, but our SAM he kept hitting for 0 and crit hits were for 0. Even SATA tachi : kasha did 0 dmg. This thing had no cacoon or anything on, so is this mob GK resistant or does the SAM really just fail? >.>

This NM is resistant to slash weapons so weapons such as axe, g.axe, g.sword, katana, and the like will do 0 damage.

# Aug 08 2006 at 3:25 PM Rating: Decent
killed 3 times with a RDM/whm (me) and NIN using daggers, took awile to kill and got gloves every time and staff once.
Seems like he has no hate as any JA or magic would give me hate. Very easy to bind and gravity though. Would bind when NIN need wait for timers or heal etc.
every time seen it pop its been on border of h-9 to i-9 mount zahalom. as you go west youl drop off a ledge just as you go form i-9 to h-9. There is a tree, 2 crawlers and 3 flys. Those 2 crawlers near the tree seem to be the Place holders. Gloves have a pretty high drop rate and i this mobs seems to be a 2+ hour lotto. i donnt understand why ppl paying up to 10 mil for them.

Popped this with Pld, Sam, Brd after killing the 4 eruca in it's spawn area for 2 hours. No one was in the area when we arrived so assume that the spawn time is >2 and not <2.

This mob is immune to slashing damage I assume, as a SAM all my gkt hits were doing 0.

Piercing(arrows/joyuese) does damage it, wasn't able to test blunt.

Hits hard, and fast enough to make tanking /nin next to impossible.
Pld taking 130~ per hit. Shield blocking to below 50.
Bard and Myself taking 180~.
Won't be trying it again without a designated healer.

Incinerate doesn't care about defense from what I can tell as it hit both me and the PLD who is very well equipped for 800. (This may be common knowledge, I dunno)

Resists lullaby/requiem.

It runs slower than a player, when I had hate I was able to kite it around one of the east-west running rocks in the spawn area with little trouble.

We lost after 12 or so minutes when an earth elemental and a crab aggroed our pld.
It was at 40% with no DD's but me burning a single stack of scorp arrows from my shigeto +1.
Would have been really easy had the damage resistance been anticipated.

LMAO... these kote are so not worth 10 mil srsly >.> but good job and wow lucky with the sale lol

Just for anyone wondering, O.kote > these in 90%+ of situations... and for the other 10% stuff like Rasetsu Tekko, Praefectus Gloves(sp?) and Seiryu's Kote are better.
BST beware

If any of you bst out there happen to run into this thing.... RUN
I tried to fight it and no charmable mob in the zone can scratch it.
idk if its some sort of glitch or if it is just immune to certain damage types.
I tried other crawlers, pugs, flys, leeches you name it they all hit for 0.
If anyone knows why this is so please respond. I'd like to be able to kill it someday :)
