1/3 with TH1

First popped after 3 kills of Clipper
Second popped 5 hours after last kill >.< that's 3 hours after windows opened.
Third was the next day and popped after about 4 clipper kills.

Only crappy thing was all the SMN burn pullers running through. Sometimes they would just pause in the spawn area with their bajillion mobs and I couldn't even find the placeholder or they would grab it or whatever.

So I started picking their mobs off one by one (with them flipping out) until they left. ^.^ (asking nicely didn't work but that got their attention)

Just dinged BLU24 last night and I'm happily using my new sword! XD

Over 200 kills without drop, top that for bad luck on this crab.

Last character, I went 1/4 on this *******.

Currently, it's more like 0/12. If it wasn't such a predictable camp, I wouldn't bother.

Edit - Finally went 1/15 or /16... >.>;
Ironically, it was one of the only times I didn't go /THF. XD I was /BLU to help someone with the Ninja quest leeches.

0/17 atm. I have had Treasure Hunter II every kill. The sword isn't worth it, but I've put too much effort into this to give up now. Pretty ridiculous though.
Got Nadrs! My results...

Got the Nadrs drop (1/3 total). Here's how it went down:

Walked into spawn area at H-7 (found on the map section where the Jammer Leeches are located) and finished killing first PH crab at 5:08 pm (actual time). Killed another and then CCC popped. Finished killing CCC as 55mnk/27thf at 5:38 pm. Easy battle, just took time to wear down his HP (used meat mithkabobs & 100 fists just to speed up the kill). No Nadrs, got standard drop (2 crab meats, 1 crab shell, ~1,900 gil). Then, while watching TV and websurfing on my laptop, I spent two full hours killing PH crabs (9 total) until CCC spawned again. Finished killing CCC at 7:44 pm. Again, another standard drop and no Nadrs. Determined, I continued killing PH crabs to see another spawn. This time, it took the better part of 4 hours and 15 minutes (14 crab PHs killed) until I saw and killed CCC again (finished at 12:03 am). Got the standard drop plus the Nadrs! Job done, moving on - thank the FFXI gods. Took a lot of time but worth it for this strong BLU sword.

My observations: I was the only one hunting this mob - never once saw anyone near me so I can safely agree, based on my experience, that the spawn time is 2 - 4 hours. Each crab PH respawns every 12 minutes. The crab PHs seem to have a better-than-average land crab meat drop rate (good for some extra gil). Killing the pugil and the sea monk made no difference at all - the one and only PH is the crab that spawns in one of the ponds on either the east or west side of the bridge. Did not see any poison attack any of the times I fought CCC. Tried searching for the spider NM but never found it. Killed a few Jellies while waiting and surrounded myself with swarms of bats to try to skill up Guard. Not quite as dull as typical NM hunting because there are other things to do.

Good luck! Grog - Carbuncle

I went 1/6 on this guy.

I can verify that poison = drop is just a myth... He did not poison me at all.

The most important thing when fighting him is to have fun and do not beg him! Lol... That way you won't get sick of camping, really. The first 5 times I was too focused on wishing that Nadrs drop, which never happened... The 6th time though, I was watching a Bollywood film and enjoying the music when it dropped and made my day >.>;
This sucks....

1/2 on Nadrs

Dropped it when he popped on the east side of the river.

I read somewhere the loot pool for the Nadrs has to be the following listed in this order:
Land Crab Meat
Land Crab Meat
Crab Shell
Nadrs

He dropped this exact loot pool when I got mine. Oh, and I got hit with poison effect once, if that matters.

Only killing the crab that spawns in the pool(s) every 12 minutes, CCC spawned once every 1-3hrs.

Went 1/8 on him, as THF57/WAR28, over a 24hr period, including sleep breaks and wandering off to duo BLU to 23 (stopped cause I wanted this sword BEFORE 24)

Recommendation for THF's, Bloody bolts end this fight crazy fast.
Without them, takes like 3-4minutes solo, and possibly have to use PD, with -good- gear, at 57. With bolts, no problems at all.. fight took likr 47seconds, and got drop.
Grr

Finally I am a proud owner of a Nadrs.
Back when my BLU was 24 I started looking at this sword but didn't really camp Colin until I was around 40. I still wanted the sword for level-caps and, well, once I camp a NM I just have to get the drop eventually.
First time I was with another BLU, me 40 and him 34 or something, and we had help from a higher level BLM. We didnt know anything, how often he poped or how he was to fight, and after spending a few hours with us the BLM took off. 5 minutes later CCC poped and we both spammed BLU-spells on him till we ran out of MP and got killed, lol. There is 2 kind of mobs, those that get eaten fast by BLU-spells and those that you carefully have too choose your spells on. CCC belongs to the second group. (Even at 55 I could easily run out of MP on him.)
I did a few tries solo later, slightly higher in level, but had to run to the desert zone, lol.
First time I beat the crab I was 49 or 50 and used my sons 45 THF as well. Had us logged on on 2 computers and had to run between them. I used debuffs and Fusion skillchains only and my sons character was just hacking with a fast dagger. No drop though.
Now I thought it would be cool to do a lightning skillchain on him and decided to wait till I got Circle Blade ws. This turned out to be a mistake. Circle Blade is AoE and even if the bats and the other mobs in the area are easy past 50 having a horde of them and CCC beating on you can be a disaster. Your spells get interrupted all the time. So it was back to non-AoE skillchains (didn't even dare magic burst till I could sub rdm or blm and use single elemental spells).
After dying twice in a row with a swarm of bats surrounding me I didnt even look for CCC in a while. Killed him 2 more times though without drop when just passing through at level 53. (Even if I didnt stop to wait and kill PHs I ran through here now and then.)
And finally one night after getting "Death Scissors"-spell in the desert and leveling my NPC to 52 I ran past and found CCC up again - and got the drop. It is a very beautiful sword, looks even better than Immortal Scimitar.
shared pop

i decided to go for this NM out of boredom one day, and found the lone crab in the pool and killed it and the pugilnext to it. i killed him with no drop and wated an hour, to my surprise there was a crab yet no pugil. i killed the crab and it wouldnt pop, so this leaves me to believi it is indeed a shared PH.

This thing is such a greedy jerk. 0/6 so far on it and always takes at least 2 hours to pop each time I try to camp it. I easily soloed it 5 times but oddly enough, the 6th time he poisoned me for the first time and I had to use perfect dodge to actually survived and I ended up in the 100s HP. His poison can be very dangerous because it will cut 10 hp per dmg loss.

Just kill the Clipper in one of the 2 ponds, then wait 15 mins. Either another Clipper or CCC will spawn. If a crab spawns in a pond, its a clipper, if one spawns near the bridge, it's CCC.

0/2 so far... gonna kill at lunch, then when I get home from work, then lvl my THF for BLU sub... hopefully I'll get it in the next 2 kills... =/

Edit: went 1/1 last night. Overall 1/3 with TH1
