WOW Zone:Tanaris
Tanaris is a barren desert area located in Kalimdor, to the east of Un'Goro Crater. It is a dry, arid area, completely covered with sand dunes. The Steamwheedle Cartel has made this area its main base of operations. They have the town of Gadgetzan and a port, called Steamwheedle Port.

Getting Here
There are many ways to get to this zone, such as the portals in Dalaran (inside the Violet Citadel) and Shattrath (go to the World's End Tavern and talk to Zephyr). These two in particular will take you to the entry of the Caverns of Time.
Alliance
Starting in Thalanaar, head east through Thousand Needles then move south through the Shimmering Flats. There is a mountain pass to the south of the flats to get to Gadgetzan.
Horde
From Freewind Post in Thousand Needles, travel east to the Shimmering Flats then head south through the mountains to Gadgetzan.
