WOW Zone:Maraudon  

Maraudon is a cave system in the Valley of Spears, found to the north east of Shadowprey Village in Desolace. This instance is a combination ancient centaur burial ground and primal temple for the elemental earth.

Initially added in patch 1.2, this was the very first instance added after the release of World of Warcraft and is the first of only four 5-man instances to be added in a patch.

Pariah Quest

You need to do the following:

• Kill The Nameless Prophet at the start of the dungeon. Get the amulet.
• Find the five khans. Use the amulet on each. Kill them and loot the gem.
• Use one of the gems
• Return to the Pariah

The khans are found in these areas:

• Middle area = 1st
• Purple area = 2nd
• Orange area = 3rd
• Purple instance = 4th
• Orange instance = 5th

• Pre-end boss: Landslide, a bigger mountain giant.

Subzones of Maraudon

Notes

• It is pronounced: Mara-dawn.
• If you /camp behind the final keeper of the grove spirit and then log back in, it is possible to appear inside of the orange side of the instance and avoid having to hearth. Note that it may not work, leaving 1 group member stuck inside.
• Maraudon does not get many groups anymore, the biggest reason being that most people do not have a flight path to Desolace.
