As far as I'm able to tell when you try and log into a zone that is under maintenance you will not be able to log in. This happened to a friend of mine. We were headed to Sauromugue Champaign and I was still in Meriphataud Mountains on a chocobo. When I reached the zone it wouldn't let me through. I called my friend and he said he had gotten dc'd and he couldn't log back in. Later I found out they had started maitenance on that area because of a problem.

If anyone knows any different feel free to comment.

And for all those who whine about maintenance... Think about what would happen if they didn't do it. There would probably be a bug that would send you to the middle of the crawler's nest without your gear everytime you entered your house. So quit your complaining and live with it. I applaud them for being on top of the problems and fixing them in a timely fashion.

Since Sunday was the first day following the release of CoP, conquest was tallied as usual and regional merchants for the new area's were supposed to appear and offer their wares.

However, things did not go as expected, and the affected Regional NPC's were replaced with moogles that said their was a problem with the regional merchant.

While replacing moogles with the place holder moogle, it is possible that it may have acted like a mog house moogle.

Only the area's that contain these NPC moogles will be subject to maintenance, and the maintenance period should be brief.

Maintenance happens..., you gotta have it. Deal ^_^

I wonder if they're going to jack the prices up for the logs? :(

What would happen if I was in windy waters and tried to log in? Would it just not let me or would it plop me in another zone close by?
