Battle Chasers RPG Successfully Kickstarted!

A love-letter to Jrpg fans inspired by its comic book predecessor.

With 28 days left to go on its Kickstarter Campaign the upcoming RPG, Battle Chasers: Nightwar, has successfully met its crowdfunding goals.

Inspired by the 1998 comic book of the same name, Battle Chasers: Nightwar is a single-player RPG being developed by Airship Syndicate, an independent game studio created by the former founders of Vigil Games (Dark Siders I & II) and led by renowned comic book artist, Joe Madureira, who has created art for other comic book titles such as X-Men and Spider Man.

The team aims to bring back elements that made classic RPGs memorable–such as tactical turn-based combat–while still making the game feel fresh with updated visuals, randomly generated dungeons (including harder difficulties) and a plethora of hidden secrets and lore to discover.

"Battle Chasers: Nightwar is a love letter to one of our favorite genres of gaming: the JRPG. We grew up playing legends like Final Fantasy, Suikoden, Chrono Trigger, and Phantasy Star. While many greats continue to come from Japan, very few western developers are creating them.

With your help, we're going to change that."

Battle Chasers is estimated to be released by December 2016 on Windows, Mac, Xbox One and PS4. If you'd like to contribute to the game's stretch goals or want more information on this upcoming title, you can head over to its Kickstarter page or the official website.
