Film Friday: Eight Trailers

This week covers a wide range of genres and includes a few oddballs.

End of the week, start of the weekend! We've got an unprecedented eight videos today, but they only hit 14 minutes total. Crank up the volume and let's load 'em up!

First up is Elite: Dangerous with a Beta Release trailer. This game is already looking damn fine. Imagine the final game paired with the Oculus Rift; that's what gaming dreams are made of.

If you're more comfortable firmly planted on the ground, look no further than Trials Fusion. Today's trailer features their upcoming DLC Riders of the Rustlands.

And now, today's first oddball: TRI. With a neat soundtrack and nifty gameplay, it looks like a pleasant experience. It's always worth keeping an eye on up-and-coming projects.

Even as someone that doesn't play Call of Duty, the new trailer for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is a good watch. Take a look at the intense synopsis of Advanced Warfare's campaign.

If one word were to summarize The Sims, I'd say "wacky" works well. The Sims 4 looks to keep the streak alive, with emotions that influence your interactions. No way this could go wrong.

Flying down the track is F1 2014 with its announcement trailer. The community is already in a heated debate, saying the game is not the "next-gen F1" they had expected.

Now for today's second oddball, the "non-combat MMO" Wander. The concept is...intriguing, and I hope it will be well-executed. I won't spoil the trailer, but...those eyes. Those terrifying, piercing eyes.

Oh, Halo 2, how sweet the days of your reign. For those who plan to relive the experience in Halo: The Master Chief Collection, you're in luck: revamped cinematics mean stunning HD nostalgia.

That'll do it for this week. Thanks again for tuning in, and we'll see you next week!
