Major League Gaming will be kicking off its 2013 championship next weekend, starting on the 22nd of November. The three day event will have over $150,000 in prizes up for grabs.

This will be the first-ever tournament for the brand new Call of Duty: Ghosts. It will feature 108 teams vying for their cut of the $50,000 prize pool, with first place team taking home $20,000. The top eight teams from Call of Duty: Black Ops II and four of the top teams so far in Ghosts are exempt from pool play, and will await the top 12 teams from the open bracket to emerge. The teams will then square off for a shot at the $20,000 grand prize.

Another game you may have heard of, Dota 2, will also be showcased. This will be MLG's first international Dota competition. Many of the world's top Dota teams will be clashing for what was formerly planned to be a $50,000 prize pool. I say formerly because, available now in Dota 2's workshop, is a MLG Championship Bundle. The bundle itself comes with in-game items and sells for just under $10, but $2.50 of that purchase directly affects the size of the prize pool. At the time this article was written the prize pool was just surpassing $108,000.

If you live in the Columbus, Ohio area and are interested in the world of eSports, it would be worth your while to purchase a ticket and check out the action. If you aren't in the area you can also catch the event online exclusively through MLG's live stream (although Dota will also be viewable through the in-client spectator mode). The MLG Championship in Columbus is shaping up to have some exciting matches; whether you are a fan of Dota or Call of Duty, or just a fan of eSports in general, this event will be right up your alley. To all of the competitors--good luck and have fun!
