Universal Pictures to release the Warcraft Movie in 2015.

Blizzard has just announced that the long-anticipated official Warcraft movie has been scheduled for release on December 18, 2015, by Universal Pictures.

Rumors broke recently that Colin Farrell, star of such movies as Phone Booth and the 2012 remake of Total Recall, and Paula Patton, who played IMF agent Jane Carter in action movie Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, are being considered for the lead roles. Director Duncan Jones has been on board for some time. 

Written by Charles Leavitt and Duncan Jones, the movie's producers include Charles Roven, Alex Gartner, Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni with Blizzard's Chris Metzen as co-producer.
