Warface returns at Gamescom, beta to follow

Trion left behind, Warface returns at Gamescom with beta soon to follow!

Following the recent troubles at Trion, a number of strange things have gone amiss. FPS fans will have noticed Crytek’s Warface suddenly disappeared from Trion’s website. There has been a disturbing abundance of “no comments” from both parties surrounding this mystery, but fear not as Warface will be playable once more at Gamescom, with closed beta testing reconvening on August 21.

Crytek is inbound for Gamescom on August 21-25 and this time it's brought some Chinook helicopters for you to play in, seriously:

"The convention takes place from August21-25 in the Cologne Exhibition Centre, where Crytek will be inviting players to step into a scale model Chinook helicopter and sample Warface’s team-based co-operative and competitive game modes. Gamescom visitors can come and test their mettle on the frontline, at the Warface booth in Hall 7.1, area A 031. For business visitors attending the show, Crytek’s business booth can be found in Hall 4.1, area A 037."

Whether or not Crytek will be ready to talk about their break-up with Trion is another question, we’ll just have to wait and see.

The closed beta will be playable through their own GFACE community hub on August 21 to players in North America, Europe and Turkey. You can sign-up for beta on the official home of Warface.com.

Oh, did we mention our own Gazimoff will be reporting from the show floor, I wonder if he likes Chinooks.
