Space Hulk, Incoming!

Games Workshop popular IP coming to PC, Mac and iOS

If by any chance at all you're a fan of Games Workshop and their Warhammer 40,000 universe, this next bit of news should excite you greatly. Perhaps more than it should.

Today, developer Full Control and Games Workshop announced they will be bringing Space Hulk to digital platforms in 2013. To celebrate the announcement, they released a quick teaser trailer:

From the press release, we learn a bit about the setting of the game, as well as the campaign:

"Space Hulk is set in the isolated corridors and tomb-like chambers of an ancient vessel lost in the graveyard of space. Players lead a small army of fearless Space Marine Terminators to battle in a ferocious fight for survival against hordes of predatory alien Genestealers. Based on the "Sin of Damnation" campaign from the 3rd edition board game, Space Hulk includes a robust 12 mission single-player and co-operative campaign."

A "space hulk" is not a giant green shape-shifting astronaut as you might be thinking. In the Warhammer universe, the term space hulk refers to a mass of junk adrift in the galaxy such as asteroids, derelict ships, and so on. Sounds like a great setting to me.

The game will be released in 2013 on PC, Mac and even iOS devices. Stay tuned to ZAM for more details!
