DDO Unlimited Surpasses 1 Million New Players

Turbine announced today that Dungeons and Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited has surpassed one million new players since the game went free-to-play in September 2009. According to the press release, "DDO Unlimited's paid subscriber base has more than doubled, while at the same time players are transacting in the new DDO store at three times the industry average, growing the franchise’s revenue over 500% since its launch in September."

DDO Unlimited originally launched as a subscription-based game on Feb. 28, 2006, and Turbine is giving players some extra exp in honor of the MMO's fourth birthday. Starting today, Feb. 26, all players will get a 20% exp bonus from quests. The event ends on Feb. 28, so log in ASAP to take advantage of the offer.
