Yes you can get in

How do I know that? Well I am currently in Coronet City. Here are some tips that helped me. I don't know if they will work for everyone, but I will pass them on. While in the signup screen, when you hit a bad page or an error mesage, right click and use the back button and try again. Also, wait for the page to either load, give you an error or come up broken before backing up and trying again. Persistance eventually pays off. I believe the only screen you need to load on the first try is the credit card screen after you fill in your number (backing to that over and over eventually sent me to one of the earlier screens). Also, one tip for the former Everquest players. If you go to options-controls-keymap, you are able to load a new keymap that changes around the control interface to one very similar to Everquest's. I personally find it easier to use. Of course, many may prefer the SWG default settings. UPDATE: C-3PO posted this at 5:32 pacific: "Subscription server is back online. We're seeing a fair amount of traffic going through it now. We will likely be seeing more problems, but different ones and less dramatic. I'll keep you updated."

it's nice to know you automatically assume I'm full of crap because YOU can't get it to work, I just downloaded mozilla-win32-1.3.1-installer.exe so version 1.3.1 I installed it as browser only and proceeded to function just fine.

And for those who think I'm full of crap here is a screenshot of my desktop with patcher ready to play and me writing this message...

it's not working. have tried it 100's of times and its not working. you're the only person in the world I guess where it's working.

Notice no one else here got it to work either?

Sorry but others HAVE got it to work... It sucks that they can't get their act together but it worked for me and for other people so it's worth trying, I'm sitting on Tatooine right now in Mos Entha surveying, not a soul in sight.

Anonymous is correct, I have mozilla installed, does that mean I like how it displays a lot of pages... it adheres to true HTML instead of the IE specific codes used at a LOT of sites... and well I prefer seeing things how they were intended to be seen and not how a strict HTML ruleset allows them to be seen.

Mozilla is a tool like any other, you don't always use the same tool for every job... Unless you youself are a tool =P
