The official launch of Dungeon Fighter Online!

I know this can get a little bit confusing since Dungeon Fighter Online went into "open beta commercial release" a few months back, but it seems as though this time, it's official! That's right, Nexon's adrenaline-packed side-scrolling beat-'em-up is now officially out of beta and has now hit official launch status! With this announcement comes a whole month of events for DFO fans and the introduction of the awesome female gunner class. For all players level 30 and above, you will be receiving a "Lethe's Bell," which is good for one free complete skill reset - just make sure to take it out of your mailbox within 7 days, or it will be gone for good!

As well, any player who creates a female gunner during the event period will receive one "Kiri's Gift Box," which includes ten Empyrean Soda's (which recover 10% of your HP and MP), a random rare weapon and a Conqueror or Tactician's Contract. As well, all female gunners who hit level 30 by June 29th will also receive a Lethe's Bell for resetting their skills.

Finally, with the official launch of DFO comes the final batch of awakenings for the Soul Reaper, the Machinist and the Hellcat! Players who can get their awakenings before June 29th will receive an awesome title, and for players who party with Soul Reapers, Machinists or Hellcats, they'll receive an experience bonus of +10% for a party of 2, and +20% for a party of 3 or 4. So get leveling!

Guilds come to Dungeon Fighter Online

Probably one of the biggest pet peeves of most Dungeon Fighter Online players is the fact that, unless you become an active participant on the forums, joining a community in DFO is somewhat difficult. Sure, the game has a friend list and the ability to party up with other players (up to four), but for many players who just go through DFO solo, the loneliness can really make you... lonely.

Anyways, all of that is about to change on April 28th! With the introduction of the Guild System Update, players will be able to create their own in-game communities, with some neat little benefits thrown in! You see, by joining guilds, players will be able to level up their guilds and earn some great bonuses, like a stat bonus at level 2 and 4, or EXP bonuses at level 2, 3 and 5. As well, Nexon looks like they're really supporting their newbies in DFO, as Guilds gain EXP from every Fatigue Point spent, with a bonus given to players under level 30 (the lower level you are, the more EXP you get!). So get your friends together, it's time to Guild it up!

DFO Introduces New Awakenings and has a new Event

In Dungeon Fighter Online's latest update, they've introduced new "awakening" job advances for Grapplers, Rangers, Blade Masters and Summoners over the level of 48. Players who meet the pre-requisite level will need to advance through a series of Awakening quests in order to achieve their new advancement, and with each awakening comes a new "awakened" ability and passive for the player.

In addition to adding these four new awakenings for players, the DFO team is also launching some special events to commemorate it. Right now, any player that creates a new class in DFO will receive 10 Life Tokens instead of the customary 5, and upon advancing to their new subclass (at 18), players will be receive a congratulatory gift box, which contains 15 Remy's Touch and 10 Mana-Aids. As well, anybody who enters a dungeon with one of the four classes that received awakenings (Blade Master, Grappler, Ranger and Summoner) will receive a bonus of +10% experience for parties of two and a bonus of +20% experience for parties of three and above. Finally, anyone who completes their Awakening quest will also receive an exclusive title which grants +100 HP, +100 and a +10% movement speed bonus in town, as well as be entered into a random draw to win a "Kaleido Box," which shuffles and adds new stats to a pre-existing item.

All in all, it looks like a good month for DFO players, and congratulations to all of the new Grand Masters, Dervishes, Desperados and Gaias who have "awakened" beyond their normal classes!
