Finally we’ve reached the day we, all, been working towards. Today is when The Reawakening launches officially and open up for players from around the globe. It is a big day not only for us, but for you too. Without the invaluable help, support and above all *feedback* this hadn’t been the great game it now is.

 
In anticipation for the launch the game will be down until 2PM CET when it will officially go live.

 
So, let’s all celebrate now and play The Reawakening – an MMORTS as it should be…

Lockpick Entertainment announced this week that closed beta has begun for Dreamlords: The Reawakening.

It’s time to get busy! The Reawakening, Swedish online game developer Lockpick Entertainment’s follow-up to last year’s acclaimed MMO debut title Dreamlords, is commencing the Closed Beta test in exclusive co-operation with FilePlanet.com, a part of the IGN Entertainment network.

Long awaited, The Reawakening will start the beta testing today. Initially the beta test will be open exclusively to FilePlanet’s registered users, but will be public later next week.

So what is Dreamlords The Reawakening all about anyway?

The story continues where the original game left off: The world ended in a cosmic disaster (ouch) and the Cynos had to put the world to sleep to heal itself. Everything went black but after eons of silence, the Dreamlords slowly reawakens and begins to put the world back together.

Guess what, all is not what it seems though and it is not just the Dreamlords that has been awakened…

Dreamlords today made a major announcement!

It is said that the only constant thing in life is change…and change is most definitely upon us. The last Era went out with a bang and everything was lost…the world ended in flames.

So is it all over now?
No of course not, but major changes and trials lies ahead of us all and we want to give you a heads up of what is happening.

The Good News!
Lockpick Entertainment is proud to announce that development of Dreamlords: Re-awakened has begun. This new part in the Dreamlords saga will introduce many new features, missions together with upgrades of various functions and we are really thrilled about it, to say the least.

The Challenge
Now for the part you might not like so much: We are not a big development studio with unlimited resources and we don’t have a large publisher behind us. In order for us to focus fully on Dreamlords: Re-awakened, Dreamlords will be unavailable for some time.
Trust us, it hasn’t been an easy decision but after much consideration we have decided to let Dreamlords rest for a while. To be honest with you (as opposed to give you some corporate mumbo-jumbo) we simply can’t develop Dreamlords: Re-awakened at the same time as keeping up a good level of service with Dreamlords, it wouldn’t be fair to you nor us.
We develop games because we love it and if we can’t do it exactly the way we want it, we’d rather give it a rest instead of squeezing a couple of extra bucks out of you.

Hopefully this will only bring good things in the future!
