According to a post on the Asda Story website, the team will be launching a slew of Valentine's Day events for the month of February. The first event, the Valentine's Candyshop Crafting Event, will allow players to create some neat Valentine's Day Candy to restore their health and mana, as well as the ability to craft the... Donut Sword? In addition to this, there will be a Valentine's Day Pet Event, where monsters will be dropping tokens left and right that spell out L-O-V-E. Players who collect all four tokens will be able to receive a special "Valentine's Day Pet Egg," which can then be hatched into their very own pet. At the end of March 2nd, 2010, players who have managed to get their pet above the "Great Adult" level will also be able to keep them permanently!

Finally, there will also be an "attendance event," where players can visit the event NPC in town every day to receive "attendance tickets," which can then be redeemed for some additional gifts, as well as the opportunity to win a raffle draw for up to 5,000 Campus Credits!

That's a lot of events to have for one day, and that's not even including the bonus double EXP and double drop rate weekend!

Open Network Entertainment announced today that it has launched the ONE Power-Up Game Card, which is a prepaid gift card that allows you to manage your spending for a variety of MMOs and other online games. Basically, it means you no longer need to buy separate games cards for each game that you play. The ONE Power-Up Game Card also gives you access to exclusive offers, from extra points to unique in-game bonus items.

So what games are compatible with the card? According to a press release, "partnerships have been signed with Aeria Games, OnNet (GamesCampus), Fantage, Ndoors, NHN Global, Game HI and JC Entertainment (GameKiss), allowing consumers to redeem their card balance for use on more than 20 online game properties." You can find a full list of games on the card's Web site, and it includes titles such as Asda Story, Atlantica Online, Dream of Mirror Online and Twelve Sky 2.

The ONE Power-Up Game Card is currently only available for purchase at participating Rite Aid locations. More information on the card can be found after the jump or in the FAQ on the Web site.

Apparently Gamescampus really wants to lure players in, as they have just announced a $5,000 giveaway where players can 'earn' raffle tickets simply by registering and leveling up! Each level you get as a new user in Asda Story will net you one ticket that will go towards the final prize of $2,500 for one lucky player, and five more prizes of $500. Not only this, but Asda story is offering free experience potions to players who refer a friend, as well as the opportunity to double their in-game purchase credits for the first-time use of a credit card. Now is certainly a good time to be checking out this game!

PvP System Launches in Asda Story

We reported back in April that Gamescampus.com had launched a PvP test server to prepare for the launch of Asda Story's combat system. Well, the publisher of the free-to-play MMO announced today that the PvP system is now live. Players may choose to allign themselves with the factions of Light, Darkness or Chaos to compete against each other in a battlefield that can hold up to 90 combatants! While only one map is available now, more will be added in the future.

According to a press release, players can "gain Warfare Points both by defeating players of the other Factions in direct combat, or capturing Fortresses owned by the other Factions located around the map." By participating in these battles, players can earn items and gear not available elsewhere in the game.

The full press release announcing the PvP system can be found after the jump.

Asda Story, a free-to-play fantasy-style anime MMO, is preparing to enter the competitive world of player versus player combat by launching a PvP test server today. Following the test, a full PvP system will become available in the game in May.

To celebrate the launch of the test server and give players a chance to try out the combat system, the game's first-ever PvP tournament for one-on-one and two-on-two battles will be held tomorrow and Wednesday. Players will get to use free skill resets, upgrade items, and potion items from the item mall, as well as 10,000 gold.

Players level 39 and below will get to participate tomorrow, while Wednesday's tournament will be for combatants level 40 and above. You can register for the event or find more information here.
