When disposing of loot or used items, soulbound items have to be sold at vendor rates rather than auction. I've started using Auctioneer and it usually suggests disenchanting such items. OK, fine, but don't you have to have enchanting as a profession to do that? Or is there some way other players can do it?

Yeah, you'd need enchanting to do that. If you don't have it, you'll be stuck with vendor prices for soulbound stuff.

I would not sweat that too much, you honestly can make a good bit of dough selling to vendors. The interesting bit about that is that it is money pulled into the economy that was not there before. I have long conjectured about the inflation that takes place due to this.

Drop in the bucket compared to the introduction of max-level non-profession dailies. Vendoring items is a gold source roughly comparable to the gold sinks of repair and training. Before daily quest hubs and the consequent hyperinflation, "gold-capped" was right up there with the "The Insane" title - very few accomplish it because it's far beyond providing any benefits, it's just an intellectual exercise.

I was just trying to make him/her feel better about vendoring. Now that you have mentioned that, I am going to cry myself to sleep knowing that I can never... I don't even know.
