Trying to find the different possibilities for new recipe discoveries as well as what counts towards Elixir specializtion/potion specializtion. My question to you is how are you able to discover Super Rejuv Potion AND a Transmute recipe? Are you talking about two different toons with Alchemy? Thanks in advance.

In order to discover the Super Rejuvination potion, you would need to be making any kind of potions that require Outland components.
The same toon can also discover transumte recipes, but only when doing transmutes. Since transmutes have a 20h cooldown, it may take awhile to get all your transmute discoveries.

I thought that as a 'Master of Elixirs' you could only learn new Elixir recipes; same with Transmutes. Which, now it sounds like I had it wrong. So can ANY alchemist do Transmutations/Elixirs/Potions and it's just the 'Master of ?' whatever that allows you the chance to create extras for the same cost of one?

Any alchemist can get discoveries in in area of alchemy. Mastery only makes it so that you can get multiple items from a single combine.

I've been lucky, and had two discoveries in my first 5 transmutes. I got two transmute discoveries, life to earth and I think water to shadow.
This combined with the posts above, lead me to believe that you get discoveries in the branch your performing. I couldn't find this in the tradeskill FAQ, but it makes sence that you don't discover a potion while doing a transmute. Have anyone made discoveries that prove this wrong?

I'm going to agree with the previous poster on this issue. I know people have posted you can get any discovery from a pot for example but I've found that's not the case. I've got all my xmute from xmutes. I grinded hundreds of pots and only got Super Rej Potion...then the next day I start doing elixirs and in 3 days I have 2 flask discoveries...it's just hard to ignore that coincidence!
Wow I must have really lucked out, I made 2 discoveries last night and I got flask of Pure Death and Rejuvination potion I think, from reading the former posts I am guessing I lucked out, The Flask is one of the reason's I took up alchemy in the first place so I could use it on my Warlock.
