Skinning knives

If you're looking for a skill bump then get a +skinning glove enchant. Otherwise, there are no weapons that are usable for skinning. In japanese, I believe the term is called tameshigiri - using a sword to cut something (non-combat) which is considered disrespectful to the sword, the blacksmith and a disgraceful act for a samurai. Otherwise, yes, I too would appreciate a skinning knife that could also double as a dagger/weapon.

there is one actually, i not level 60 but there is a boss in upper black rock spire if i remember correctly that can drop a skinning knife that not only lets u skin normal things but also things that normally couldant be skinned makin it so u can get better types of leather as well.

i liked it in UO where a sharp weapon could act as your skinning item..so you dont need to use up one slot for the rest of your char's life carrying that around.

but i guess by the time you get to carrying 4 of 12 and 14-slot bags, eventually 16-slot, you usually can find a vendor at some point before you absolutely fill up.
