Well, off to a good start, we Clinched the gold medal in team figure skating before our last pair had even competed, and put a flawless run together for the moguls.

You guys are doing well, claiming two golds in snowboarding, which I always expect. slope-style is pretty cool. Good luck with the Womens hockey, which is all that matters since the NHL isn't there.

any events anyone is looking forward to? I always love the the snowboard cross race and shorttrack speed skating, probably because both can be so chaotic and awesome.

I'm not really watching, but I am pretty stoked over how some of the US uniforms are Marvel designs.

Doubles curling Gold! This was an interesting modification, super confusing at first until I looked up the modified rules.

Let this be a lesson to the rest of the world: no matter what kind of convoluted way you come up with to chuck a rock across a frozen lake, Canadians will be the best at it.

Following but not really watching this year unfortunately. Only station we get is Fox, which limits the viewing options. Smiley: frown

cbc.ca is amazing for coverage. All the stuff, all online, anytime inlcuding live streams from pretty much every event on demand. No passwords, accounts or anything.

It probably does require a canadian IP though, not sure.

That the one with the brooms?

I saw Emily Sweeney's crash. Walking away from that was pretty metal.

Yeah I think it does, at least that's my memory from last time I tried to get around the NBC monopoly down here. It was nice when I lived further north and got CBC as part of the cable package, not so much these days though. Smiley: frown

Yes, definitely.

Foreign propaganda is almost always preferable. This way I can watch people ice skate and ski come away with the feeling Canada is a beautiful wonderful place that's free of all the problems we currently have. The wine/oil feud, false news stories about politicians, ****** internet service, imminent moose takeover, and other unseemly topics can wait until another day. In the meantime there's hockey on TV.

Yeah, our own gets so tiresome sometimes.

It really does. I can only be told the world is going to end so many times before I start to tune out, and every country seems to have a politician or 50 who are willing to knock nasties with teenagers/secretaries/hookers/etc, so you don't really miss out on anything.
