Mid August my wife started acting differently. Wearing makeup, dressing nicer etc. End of August she sends me a text in the basement saying she's heading to bed soon. She'd been sleeping in our son's room for some time.

Our daughter comes down stairs an hour later with a stomach ache caused by a nasty fall she took at the park earlier, all bruised up. It was odd that my wife didn't hear her across the all.

My wife isn't home.

I text her. 5 minutes later she texts back that she went for a walk. She doesn't do that, certainly not at 11:00 at night.

It eats at me so I end up checking her facebook that she left open. First conversation is with another man and starts with "I'm looking to have an affair", turns out it's an old boyfriend, "Do you remember what the sex was like", "You should come over between 12 and 2" (when I'm at work), "No you come here during the week and I go there on weekends", [Insert Pics] "Nice tits" etc.

Swears she never actually did anything, talked to some guys on POF but they were all pigs so nothing happened.

Spend two months trying to make it work, she's much much more affectionate. Much more fun.

...doesn't matter because I can't trust her and she's being secretive with all of her communication. Phone screen turns off as soon as I'm in the room etc.

Now we're getting separated and I've spent the last 2 weeks fixing the house for sale, sign goes up tomorrow.

Still living together, still sleeping together, she's happy, I'm sad, have to tell kids tonight because sign goes up on house tomorrow...

Running out of places to put the lemons and sick of making lemonade.

I'm not sure if I should offer my condolences for your loss or congratulate you for separating from what sounds like a pretty bad situation.

Sorry to hear this is happening. I know some people talk about how they made it through some infidelity and "marriage takes work", etc but I can't imagine I'd be able to let it go. If that's a failing on my part, so be it. Best wishes for you and the kids.

I'd go with "wishes that things don't end up with a messy divorce and someone on the top of a clock tower."

But seriously, glad you caught her before you ended up with an STD, Yodabunny. Smiley: frown

This feels like a whynotboth.jpg situation if there ever was one, so congratulations and condolences and such. Definitely sending all the thoughts and prayers your way on the bumpy road ahead.

Could I recommend lemon cupcakes? They're a really awesome mix of sweet and sour.

Lemondrops are also good, and they serve the double purpose of using the lemons, and getting you drunk!

My condolences, that sounds like a very difficult situation, and I applaud your adult handling of it. I am sure it couldn't have been easy.

Helps when you're living near the hottest housing market in the world. Or one of at least.

Unfortunately, makes finding a new spot tough and expensive.

That's about how much we charge for our rental basement dungeon.

That's really not so bad. It's hard to get a decent dungeon on short notice these days. Most people don't take long to crack, so it's really not worth sending them back to the main facility just for a few hours of chit chat.
