For those who care,

Well all, this time around Im really done for good. I slowly weened myself off the game until now, and after getting rid of almost all gear, I bid everyone in FFXI world a very fond farewell. It's been a blast, and I feel really good to have met such good and interesting people along the way. I just read a post written by Pergatory, who is probably (no offense to anyone) my single favorite person I have encountered along this road of FFXI (even with our ups and downs - which were usually my fault =), anyways his post mentioned that it's who you do the journey with, not what you get along the way - or the outcome. That can get clouded at times for us all, but it really is the truth and excellent words of wisdom for new players and old ones alike. I'll miss many people, but I just gotta move on - it's really best for me and I am 100% positive of that this time around.

You may still see my account around, as I am giving it to Kkin, a member of the LS Boundless Souls which i have had the pleasure to be a part of and spend my last days in game with. Kkin and his wife will likely be using my account, so hopefully all those merits, and all that rare ex will still go to good use. If anyone wants to stay in touch, i set up a myspace account at the request of a friend : www.myspace.com/allen311 - feel free to drop me a line.

Thanks all, it's been a pleasure.

PS all my gear is gone - don't be a **** and ask for it.

Pull that spork out your *** and smell reality loser boy. It took you 4 edits to say your little words of "wisdom" - good god boy, did the short bus actually hit you while you were standing outside waiting for it? Aren't you the same ******* who is so pathetic you ran around Jeuno shouting "F*ck everyone" over and over so you could get banned? So you got banned - from a game you talk about as being so ******, and now you're such a tool you troll the forums of this game you dont even play just to be an *******? It seems you may have fallen off your own soap box and injured your head on the way down. Exactly what pity is it Im seeking when Im saying goodbye to people, and letting them know "stormico" will not be me playing anymore.

I've quit the game once before and did so for a couple months. I had surgery though and needed something to do - so yes I did come back as a casual player. Not that it's any of your concern or business. You should really just do the world and yourself a favor and find a life/ hobby/ playmate/ or cockroach to put in your tighty whities - cuz youre clearly void of entertainment.

Bah don't justify yourself to him Stormy, we all know you are a crack headed version of Garth Brooks addicted to heroine, but we love you anyway. <3

Seriously though, we gonna miss ya bro, and I'm truly glad that a chapter in your life is ending and a new one beginning. And no, I'm not talking about FFXI, I'm talking about a certain psycho *****. Peace :D

See kids? When you name yourself the "SporkKing"...nothing good comes of it. It's like drugs, only worse...cause drugs at least get you giddy, where as Mr. Sporktard just irritates the **** out of you.

Sporktard...why are you really posting here? What "motive" do you have? What possible reason for existence in this thread do you have? Do you believe that Stormico, or anyone else for that matter, gives a ****? You call someone an attention *****, yet you're the only ****** in this thread begging for attention with your lame "Garth Brooks" comment tryin' to talk down to someone. Who the hell references Garth Brooks while trash talking anyways?!?!

Do everyone and yourself a favor, and take your 54 posts, your dumb mullet-sportin' ***, and find some place where someone gives a ****. Of course, you'll be lookin' for a long time...I seriously doubt anyone values the opinion of an idiot.

Troll forums, nah.

Hope this clears things up for ya Spanky:

What is an Internet Troll/ Forum troll?
An "Internet troll" or "Forum Troll" is a person who posts outrageous message to bait people to answer. Forum Troll delights in sowing discord on the forums. A troll is someone who inspires flaming rhetoric, someone who is purposely provoking and pulling people into flaming discussion. Flaming discussions usually end with name calling and a flame war.

A classic CureZone troll is trying to make us believe that he is a skeptic. He is divisive and argumentative with need-to-be-right attitude, "searching for the truth", flaming discussion, and sometimes insulting people or provoking people to insult him. Troll is usually an expert in reusing the same words of its opponents and in turning it against them.

While he tries to present himself as a skeptic looking for truth ... his messages usually sound as if it is the responsibility of other forum members to provide evidence that what forum is all about is legitimate science.

I will give you few examples of classic troll messages & discussion threads:
Example 1
Example 2
Example 3
He (and in 90% of cases it is he) tries to start arguments and upset people.

Sometimes, he is skeptical, trying to scare people, trying to plant fear in their hearts. Many curezone trolls are people trying to promote Quackwatch / ratbags agenda.

Sometimes, Internet troll is trying to spin conflicting information, is questioning in an insincere manner, flaming discussion, insulting people, turning people against each other, harassing forum members, ignoring warnings from forum moderators.
Trolling is a form of harassment that can take over a discussion. Well meaning defenders can create chaos by responding to trolls. The best response is to ignore it, or to report a message to a forum moderator. CureZone moderators usually delete troll messages or block trolls. Negative emotions stirred up by trolls leak over into other discussions. Normally affable people can become bitter after reading an angry interchange between a troll and his victims, and this can poison previously friendly interactions between long-time users.

Finally, trolls create a paranoid environment, such that a casual criticism by a new arrival can elicit a ferocious and inappropriate backlash.

When trolls are ignored they step up their attacks, desperately seeking the attention they crave. Their messages become more and more foul, and they post ever more of them. Alternatively, they may protest that their right to free speech is being curtailed. Perhaps the most difficult challenge for a webmaster is deciding whether to take steps against a troll that a few people find entertaining. Some trolls do have a creative spark and have chosen to squander it on being disruptive. There is a certain perverse pleasure in watching some of them. Ultimately, though, the webmaster has to decide if the troll actually cares about putting on a good show for the regular participants, or is simply playing to an audience of one -- himself.
Next time you are on a message board and you see a post by somebody whom you think is a troll, and you feel you must reply, simply write a follow-up message entitled "Troll Alert" and type only this:

The only way to deal with trolls is to limit your reaction and not to respond to rolling messages. It is well known that most people don't read messages that nobody responds to, while 99% of forum visitors first read the longest and the largest threads with the most answers.

Troll Message is an outrageous message posted to a message board, newsgroup or mailing list to bait people to answer.

Hi, my name is theSporkKing. I'm <undisclosed age>, and I have a permanent stick lodged so far up my *** that I can taste the bark. I know people I meet online don't give a **** about me, because I make sure they have no reason to...and I prefer to mirror my real life into my virtual life. I force myself to believe that everyone is not only entitled to my opinion, but required to hear it, too.

Sporktard wrote:
Just a wild guess, but I bet the relationship ended because of your cyber *** with some 40 year old guy in Texas who decided he wanted to be a Mithra.

Are you bitter because something like this happened to you? What basis do you have to make a statement like this? What reasoning, motive, or drive is there to make you believe that not only is this something that would happen to someone else...but that you would accuse this of happening?

Sporktard wrote:
Am I a troll? No. Sure I make some remarks that envoke a response, but my comments are honest. If you have read any of Storms posts you will see an FFXI addict, who for some reason always finds a way to justify his playing FFXI, much like a crack addict. His first time was oh the girlfriend is gonna leave me if I dont stop... A week later well I didnt really quit but I am only playing X, Y, and Z times.

Your comments are honest? How the hell do you know...because you "believe" them to be honest? What the hell is it to you anyways? Why the hell are you so concerned with this situation that you feel a need to not only defend your opinionated answers, but continue to vomit them out?

Sporktard wrote:
Frankly Stormico you are entirely tied up way to damn much into a virtual world which is sad. Just like every other ****** who "dates" someone "ingame" You are all retards clinging to some sort of feeling of acceptness or coolness.

Frankly, Sporkperson, you are entirely tied up with listening to the sound of your own voice, which is sad. Just like every other jerkoff that thinks they are the end-all with opinions and facts, you are just clinging to some false reality that someone gives a flying f*ck about you. The bottom line is, no one does. And that is why you project your angst onto a virtual bulletin where there are no restrictions, no boundries, and very little consequence. You're weak, ill-minded, and confused...you seem to think this is an appropriate outlet for whatever real-life issues you have...and you project that upon other people, just like an abusive parent does to their children, or a power-hungry teacher on a student. In the end, no matter how perfect you convince yourself you are, in the eyes of everyone else you are just a weak, selfish, childish boy/girl acting out your own pitiful existence through a "safe" outlet.

{Hmmm.}

Well, I don't really know Storm or Spork, but Storm seems cool, and it seems Spork has a few clinical self-defeating disorders. If his confidence isn't low enough for him to develop suicidal tendencies, he should really consider it. The world may be better off...

BTW, Spork, what's your character's name so I can /blist you?

Damn Storm, I remember when you were always LFG for your damn BLM AF gear - you for that and myself for my Paladin Gear. Anyways, I wish you the best of luck in whatever comes your way.

I recently started over - made me a Galka on Carbuncle, but I occasionally check the Asura forums (my first home on FFXI, and damn, I actually remember a lot of you guys, maybe I should have restarted on Asura^^).

Anyways, take it easy bro.

Mr. Stormico,

I do not believe you know me, I am Tallwin in game. I am sorry to hear you are leaving the game. I have enjoyed the Crismon Jelly you have supplied me with, through the AH in Jeuno. I have also enjoyed and have greatly appreciated the advise and wisdom you have shared in your posts.

I regret never having the chance to party with you. I have only now reach lvl 75 on my RDM after 2.5 years.

Good luck in the future, you will be missed.
