Thats kind of weird, I havent changed anything to do with the patcher recently. I'll go through and add some more checks to hopefully clear it up. In the mean time, can you try rebooting and then running it first thing? The error indicates the file is in use, which shouldnt normally be possible at that point.

Is the program for the updater down? I keep getting a 403 forbidden error ever time i try to access the "auto profile updater" now that ive signed for prem access. Security for internet is set to norms so i dont think its that. Thanks

Thank you kindly! Item Collector is behaving appropriately now. Had been using Netscape and had never had a problem before this, switched to Internet Explorer and everything is Kosher again.

Cheers!

I just heard about this and as I have the premium membership, I decided to try it. :) I downloaded Item collecter and installed. I opened IE, confirmed my security settings were medium or lower, I set the settings for Item Collecter. I started EQ. It started listing lots of items, (It looked like the contents of my bank) and then it said something like 230 items in queue... dont remember rest. I went to file>profile at that time and Harmonie wasnt listed. Now it does nothing at all help /sigh

Ralea,

AMD Athlon XP 3000+
2.09 GHz

3Com Network Card
Driver Date: 8/13/2002
Driver version: 4.31.0.0

I have Bellsouth DSL & a Westell Modem
I have Norton Internet Security 2004 installed on computer.
Includes Norton AntiVirus and Norton Personal Firewall.
I have internet security options to Medium.

The program is starting but nothing is happening.
Nothing is listed in the Profile manager.
Please help.

I downloaded the new version yesterday 3/29/04.
Because when I was running the Item Collector all i get is:
EQ Item Collection Engine v 2.01 (21.5) starting up...
Username set to: Kaeerin
Profiles enabled.

Listening on 3Com EtherLink PCI (Microsoft's Packet Scheduler).
I changed the mode setting from WinPcap to Memory Reading check the profile support box.

I zoned a few times and still nothing.

Thank you for your help in this matter.

The item collector worked fine for me on Monday 4/12 but I couldn't get it to work today 4/17, there was a patch on 4/14 so I'm wondering if that has something to do with it.

Please - I have seen this posted a couple of times and I am still unsure what it means:

Warning: Player inventory with null profile.

It seems to get everything but then no updated profile - I've got everything checked that was posted previously as recommended. I am running XP, and it worked previously for me.

Thank you much!

I'm getting the same error. I have tried "sfc /scannow" to make sure everything is cool. I even downloaded windump to make sure winpcap is working alright. No luck yet.

Thanks,

I just updated the itemcollector for the latest patch. I also made some other minor changes that may help with the SP2 problem, but I'm unable to test that, so please let me know if theres any change there.

Running on Win2K with Netscape Browser ( don't even have IE on my system it's like a virus tunnel) Norton Internet Security Firewall, Intel ProSet II Network Card to LinkSys DL-604 Router to Surfboard Cable Modem.

In Direct Memory Mode since I'm running W2K, start collecting when launched on, test server off ( I'm on Firiona Vie), profile support on.

I get the following:

EQ Item Collection Engine v 2.07 (21.5) starting up...
Username set to: Hilsh
Profiles enabled.
Running in direct-memory mode.
EQ client found, direct-memory mode initialized.

But when I zone or log in nothing shows up under file->Profiles? What next? I've read this entire thread so if there's an answer out there it must be in another thread.

The collector was broken by the last patch. It should be fixed now with the current version (2.08).
