Well, the level to which this place is interesting is entirely relative. What one may call boring and predictable, another may call intriguing and exciting, so really, yours is a question that cannot be answered, and hence, moot.

Mom is still a waste of space, but at least the kiddo is old enough now to take vacations down to see her mom, instead of having mother come this way. Gives me time to myself and lets her stay in touch with the losers as she chooses to do. Win/win, IMO.
