Kind of defeats the purpose. I literally was interrupted reading this thread with facebook friend invite from a long time friend/acquaintance. From the name, I didn't recognize it, till I saw the picture.
Ok ****-for-brains, you made it this far into the thread, you had to have seen the comments where I don't want to talk to people I don't talk to on a regular basis. Do you really think I needed you to tell me it defeats the purpose of having an account?

Lol I'm just lazy.

And I found the add friends. I don't think well on bad pain days. I just prefer to sit here and be nauseous.

Uh, yea, I noticed that and that changes .....what?

That's like those people who always keep their cell phone turned off at work or at the house. Ok, maybe you don't want to talk to anyone, but it still defeats the purpose of having a cell phone if you're going to have it turned off somewhere in a desk.

Unless you have "interesting" relationships, the feeling you described is not only neutral, but is ubiquitous. The amount of people that will contact you that you would like to talk to will heavily outweigh the people you don't want to talk to. In my experience, unlike myspace, random people normally don't invite you to be friends on facebook.

At worse, it's usually some person you talked to a couple of times. I never had any of those guys actually start a conversation with me on facebook.

Added a few of you. Not that it really matters, I only ever go to facebook if someone writes on my wall, because it emails me about it.

You're just upset that you won't be able to find me and add me to your friends group. It's OK.

I am still trying to not add you as a friend, since you don't know me and I don't know you. It is hard. I might not be rational soon.

Well, Ugly nor Sasquatch are anywhere in my Facebook account so you may have issues tracking me down using just my picture. There are 3 people here who have my name and address though.

Is this directed towards me? Damn I thought we were BFF's even though we don't know each other.
