"Give It All"

Break through the undertow, your hands I can't seem to find,
pollution burns my tongue, cough words I can't speak so I

stop my struggling, then I float to the surface,
fill my lungs with air, then let it out

I give it all, this is the reason why I sing,
So give it all, 'cause it's these reasons that belong to me

Rock bottoms where we live, and still we dig these trenches,
to bury ourselves in them, backs breaking under tension

For far too long these voices, muffled by distances,
it's time to come to our senses, up from the dirt

We give it all, this is the reason why I sing,
So give it all, it's these reasons that belong to me

Breathe (breathe), the air we give (give), the life we live (live), our pulses racing distances,
(breathe) so wet my tongue (give), break into song (live), through seas of competition

So please believe your eyes, a sacrifice,
is not what we had in our minds,
I'm coming home tonight, home tonight

We give it all, this is the reason why I sing,
So give it all, it's these reasons that belong to me

Today I offer all myself to this I'm living for my dying wish,
I give it all, now there's a reason, there's a reason, to give it all

As long as it involves a female person, I'm game.

NixNot is the exception to the rule. He's the anomaly. He's Neo.

He knows kung fu.

Since this thread is about music, I'm going to go talk about the sweet headphones I'm going to buy. Over at teh Bose store, their noisecancelling headphones are awesome. Was at the mall and I couldn't hear the dull roar (I'll cut them some slack by not cancelling out the wailing baby right next to me).

Srsly, though, even though its $350 it's not like I have anything better to really spend my money on.

$350 is a bit steep for a pair of headphones. Still, you will never catch me browsing at headphones less than $75.

nLoD, out of mild curiosity, and perhaps great boredom, what's your beef with Bose?

I'm sorry, but headphones? That's way too much money for headphones. Honestly what's different between my $20 ones and the $350 ones? It's not like car speakers, I don't understand how one headphone varies differently from another set aside the way they're put on, and perhaps a tad bit louder?

Though I will probably end up going with some audiophile brand, the noise-cancelling ones with circuitry to cancel noise is a very noticeable difference.

I'm a audiophile at heart. I hate Bose.. I think they are the bane of the audio world overcharged for something that in the end sounds like a cow ******* a goat...

nLoD, do remember this is a first perception from using iPod earbuds (egads, 40 dollars to replace those pieces of crap? An $11 quick fix is doing as well as they are). There just happened to be a Bose store next to the bookstore, lol.

I will probably look for some audiophile place for headphones (although I do think some audiophiles do goofy things, still would probably be my best bet. I really want a place where I can try on the headphones first, though)

I used to have a pair of SONY MDR-NC6 I got them for like 50 bucks I used to use them at LAN Party's to zone everyone out they worked really well.

I got some relatively cheap headphones ($100) and my only gripe with them is that they're not very silent. It doesn't matter as much to me, since I'm listening to the song anyways, but other people get pretty annoyed with me when I'm listening to some of the louder music.

I'll probably end up going back to earplugs. Big headphones aren't exactly practical, though the sound quality and comfort is amazing.

Yes. I somewhat have to agree with Mazra even nice headphones that hold to your head tight leak loud music and even in a work place it doesn't work well I use my Zune's earbuds at work I would use my noise canceling head phones but they cancel out the phone ringing lol. But ya.. You take a pair of full sized headphones at high volume off and everyone around you knows what you are listening too
