Let's just see what John Madden has to say about that.

Wait, that isn't such a good idea...

Well I'm a Colts fan and yes I realize they just flat out sucked in thier last few games. I am going to have to go with Pittsburgh on this one, only because then I could say my team was beat by the champs, although quite frankly I dont really care who wins. It should be a good game though.

What did you make of Manning basically blaming their loss on the offensive line and the lack of pass protection? I thought that was kind of shocking and pretty lame.

I agree it was a pretty lame thing to do and alot of people here locally arent to happy with it as well. Although it was kinda true. I've seen every Colts game, some at the RCA dome but mostly on tv, over the last 6 or 7 years and Manning just normally doesn't get sacked. This isn't because he's good at scrambling around the pocket but because the offensive line is just really good. Hell if you get Manning on the run at the very least you are guarenteed an incomplete pass if not a turnover. I don't remember how many times he got sacked last week but it was alot lol.

However in that game Manning was throwing some horrible passes when he had no pressure on him at all, so blame shoud in no way be put just on the offensive line. Pretty much they screwed themselves by benching everyone in the final games of the season. The colts went into that game not playing a game that had matter in over a month because they were afraid of getting injured. They didn't get the rust knocked off til late in the second half. Although the Steelers are a very good team and I'm not taking anything away from them and I hope they represent the AFC well in the Superbowl.

I'm calling the Seahawks.

I HATE the Steelers.

I'm a Patriots fan, have been since I was a little kid, back when they sucked. They should be going to the Superbowl now, but those effing turnovers! I wanted Denver to win after that because if my team had to lose it better be to the best. But those half brained horses lost and now those cheap-shot Steelers are going to the Superbowl.

GO SEAHAWKS!!!

STEELERS DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And about Manning, he was not blaming his offensive line. He was asked why he got sacked so much and he said "We had some protection problems." He said "we", also taking some of the credit for the problem. And it was true, look at the game and you can see there were protection problems, he was not blaming the line, he was answering honestly. And I don't even like Manning, but I understand what he was saying.

Yeah, only took 30 years...

And they did it with out the lame commercials.
*glares at Mariners*

Too bad they can't play here at Quest Field. Our fans would eat them alive :)

I'm just glad the Donkeys lost. I'll give Pittsburgh their props for that.

That said, I'm rootin' for the Seahawks. They're long overdue.

I also like this Seahawks team very much. I was pretty much the only one among my friends and family who was confident they'd beat Carolina for the NFC championship.

But I'm a diehard Steelers fan, and since they not only beat but DOMINATED the league's seemingly unstoppable powerhouse (the Colts) as well as a VERY rock solid team (the Broncos, who had dismantled the defending champions), then I'd say the Steelers have a good shot at beating Seattle, especially since it's not being played IN Seattle.

But it's going to be a very good game in any case, and I think it sucks I have to wait 2 weeks for it.

I'm rooting for the Seahawks, but I'm giving credit where credit is due. This year, it's the Steelers. C'mon guys, they're the sixth seed, went on THREE road games and they're on a hot streak.

I am a die-hard Miami Dolphins fan, but I sure as hell hope Seattle pulls out the game.

I have $60 riding on Seattle, so I hope they pull it off!

Does anyone else find it depressing that they will be playing in Ford Stadium? Ford Motor Company just laid off a gajillion workers...in Detroit...

Poor bastards.

Wonder how many salaries it cost Ford to buy the rights to name it?

Oh well, when the underdog Seahawks win maybe we can dedicate it to the workers.

i have found FORD depressing for years *grins*.

yeah sucks they just laid off 25k - 30k workings around the US. dont know if that is good or bad in the long run though. i just hope it is not a revision of the 80s layoffs for greed and is really a true restructoring of their company to make them viable once again.

Times are tough for GM, too. They just reported a $4.8 billion loss in their last quarter. Staggering. That's equivalent to losing $36,000 per minute during those last 3 months of 2005.

go steelers

I very much doubt that the Chairman (who is named 'Ford' I believe) took a paycut...
