Hurray for the Boston Red Sox!

A World Series sweep after an amazing comeback in the ALCS against the Yankees! The Sox never trailed against the St. Louis Cardinals throughout the series. Go Boston!

Yeah baby!

I admit, I had my doubts even a month ago; I figured they'd choke to the Yankees like alwas. But then they choked the Yanks, and bitchslapped the Cards. Woohoo!

The party downtown was unbelievable... the people, the noise, the cops... it was just all too much to take in. I remember running down the street towards Fenway Park giving everyone high fives to people standing along side the road. Unbelivable... it is surreal! GO SOX!

I was watching the game at a friend's apartment in Kenmore and was part of that crowd too. I made a point of leaving before people started getting stupid and being arrested though. Maybe I high-fived you at some point, Pacozorro :). The crowd did seem a lot happier and less rowdy than it was after Game 7 of the ALCS, and the police seemed to have pretty much everything locked down this time so there would be less accidents.

Those last 4 games happened so fast that it still all seems surreal to me. It's like I keep expecting that somehow the Sox will find a way to blow it again and lose to the Yankees even though the season's over. Guess that skepticism kinda gets ingrained in your psyche when you grow up around Boston. Just thinking that yesterday was one of the greatest moments in many Boston fans' lives, including their parents and grandparents who have waited so long for this is overwhelming.

I'm sure it will all sink in within the next day or two... maybe I'll see some of you guys at the victory parade this saturday! GO SOX!!

Im definitely making my way down to see the parade. If you live near the area how can you not? I'm hoping it will be more than a once in a lifetime event in my lifetime, but it's been 86 years in the making. It should be one hell of a party. :)

I'm originally from the Boston area and I've met an amazing number of Red Sox fans here. Even some from Boston and they've all pretty much said the same thing. It doesn't feel real. Like it hasn't sunk in yet. And that they keep waiting for something to go wrong. Even though it's over.
And I'm glad the nonsense about the Curse of the Bambino can finally be laid to rest.

Guess who has to watch the Red Sox get their rings during next season's home opener?

That's right...

The Yankees.

Justice.

Have they started broadcasting midget-tossing on ESPN2 yet? That's what I'm waiting for, now that the Curse has been broken thus ruining baseball forever.

Now only for a new curse to get set on the Yankees, the Pats to keep up their amazing winning streak and win another Super Bowl, and for the Celtics to just give it up. ^^

-Posting from Boston- Woo! See you at the giant parade. :P
