Disaster befell my computer late last night and I somehow aquired some really bad malware despite my virus scanner and blockers. It necessitated an emergency backup of my drive and a complete wipe and rebuild of my system. Somehow, however, my most current Firefox settings didn't make it into the backup. No idea why, except perhaps that the malware did something to them before the backup.

I was able to find a very old version of my bookmarks from 2008 that has, oh, about 80-90% of the stuff I would like restored. The rest of it, I'm just SOL and will have to muddle through without.

But what I really need is my Firefox addons. I know about AdBlocker and installed that, but it doesn't seem to be catching all the stuff that my FF addons used to catch. For instance, even with AdBlocker, I'm seeing a lot of banners and ads on Facebook today that I wasn't seeing yesterday.

I don't remember what all addons I have for Firefox (there weren't many, just Adblocker and maybe one or two others) to filter out that sort of stuff. Can anyone fill in the blanks for me?

But nowadays, this internationally ranked cheerleading coach just can't figure it out. Neil Patrick Harris? You confuse me. I HEAR you're gay, but there you are on my TV playing a normal, womanizing, cardigan-wearing straight. That's confusing. And then I heard a rumor you're not actually a doctor. So much sneaky gay deception!" --Sue's Corner
