Let's Talk Some STRFollow

So, its become fairly common knowledge that at 60+, our WSes become 75% based on our STR factor.

I haven't seen a lot of discussion though on what pieces to use, or what the average Samurai's modifier is to get the ideal damage out of them, so I thought I'd ask what equipment you guys are subbing in.

Myself, when I WS, I have about a +35 STR mod, @65, including gear and sushi. I know I could improve that, because I'm still using a puissance, and I am keeping a sniper plugged in, just to avoid swapping out ALL my ACC for WSing. Think that's a bad idea? I haven't missed a gekko yet, but legend tells of it being semi inaccurate, at the rate of about Kagero. (If it was as inaccurate as Koki, nobody would use it)

I mean, I think I'm doing alright here, its a lottt of expensive gear just to get to 35, but I see a lot of posters shining their brassy +40-50 STR swap ins. There's either some people who ahem, are exaggerating, or EQ gets better the higher you get.

I'd like to see what you guys are swapping in, point for point of STR. I didn't want to turn the thread into a "RATE MY GEARZ!!!11!!" thread, so I didn't list my own.

i dont swap all of these depdending on where i'm fighting i change up the 6 area's that i swap out depending on the situation.

I'm currently working on the last few upgrades to my STR max.. but its getting really expensive now, to the point where if i dont kill the NM's that drop what i need, i probly wont ever get them.

On second thought, just check out Kayoto's Master End-game Guide on equipment, it will list the different combinations of str and what items you should strive to get. It's what I use to get the most str possible and make those WS's really hurt.

I just hit 70, and I have +40 with food for ws.

I'm a little reluctant to get the Hachiman Jinpachi seeing as it goes from anywhere between 1,200,000 to 1,500,000.. and quite honestly I'd rather just wait it out until Wyvern skull.

Also, if you're subbing THF, ACC gear doesnt matter as SA asures it will not miss (unless mob turns to you right before you do it) so feel free to swap out both snipers and life belt.

What I'd really love to know is exactly how much +1STR does. I dont want to spend the 3.5M for Pallas bracelets if they're only going to add like 20 damage >_>;;

Currently trying to get:
1. Shinsoku (+5str) (mainly for +5 show only) 0 for 13 on "Horns of War" as of lately for the GK to drop :\

2. 2x Vampire Earring (2x +4str at night) Haven't gotten around to camping him seriously yet.

3. Arco de Velocidad (+1str) I want this bow for the +10hp and the Regen effect but haven't had time to camp Cactrot. This will be the first NM I start camping religiously when I have time on my hands. I would use this bow full time over Shigeto unless going /rng. I've drooled for this bow since I started this game.

4. Wyvern Helm+1 (+6str) currently taking bonecraft to 100 just to make this helmet. Crafting around the clock daily has not given me time to do much camping of the other items. Once bone is 90, materials will be slower thus giving me a chance to camp the other NM's. This is my current goal.

5. Forager's Mantle (+3str) dropped recently but I gave it to an LS member in the PT that was only use Amemit Mantle. Now it will be a waiting game till it drops again for me.

These items, on top of my other ones, will put me at +70str. Who knows how long it will take though. I cannot justify Shura Haidate+1 nor is it easy to get it made. So it will never be on my list. This list is also realistic as opposed to dream profiles. +60str was my first dream when I started collecting this kind of gear. Now I wanna push for the +70 barrier which I don't think any SAM on my server is close to.

I just hit 60 a few days ago. I realize now that my next WS are all based on STR. I'm just wondering at 61 is there anything else I could get to add STR? How's my gear lookin?
