I can't really find any useful Info on this NM. All I know is that he is a lotto pop in gustav tunnel but I am not really sure if that is its complete spawning condition. Is this a 21-24 lotto pop or what?

I had heard it was a 2-6 hour spawn. However, after camping one time w/ my LS for 3-4 hours, we gave up. Then, one time after killing Bune (other big dragon HNM in Gustav), we went to see if we could pop it, and also wait for Amerkie (NM like serket only 10x more powerful).

After the first place holder (Typhoon Wyvern), it popped, we killed it, and I got my boomerang.

After that, each day after we killed Bune, we then went and ungur would pop shortly after we killed a few place holders.

So, I think its on a 21-24 hour, but I could be wrong, reguardless, I love my boomerang on my thief, and can't wait for my Ninja to be able to use it.

Also to add, I've only found it to pop in the south western most circle on the map. I can't recall the coords, but if you hug the left wall once you go past the lvl 58-60 leveling range, start seeing undead. Then keep hugging left, you'll do a U-Turn and go up a hill of stairs. There is a fairly safe spot to pull and camp. You *may* aggro the one undead mob on the stairs if your HP gets too low, so you may want to rid it just in case. We always did as a precaution.

As far as fighting Ungur, the pty setup we had was.
75 PLD/NIN (main tank), 73 PLD/War (sub tank, first voke then SATA onto pld/nin). 75 Drk/thief. We kept bouncing SATA (between me, 74 thief/nin), and 75 drk/thf). We also had a whm/smn (73 I think), and a blm (70ish), and 2 bards (74, 75).

I'd like to mention that the Pld/Nin can use the ability Cover on the Pld/War if situations get tricky. (and the Pld/War gets in too much trouble)
--Just wanted to mention it because a bunch of people dont' know that=P.

Sammeh is correct on the fact that it does pop in the southmost-- western most room. I do want to mention though, that it is a 21-24 hour lottery. Also, this placeholder is tricky sometimes. The placeholder will sometimes "disappear". That would mean that the placeholder popped in the Middle, Topmost room. (Usually there are 2 Typhoon Wyvrens there-- if there are 3, that means the Ungur placeholder is there).

Even though the placeholder pops there, Ungur will only pop in the south-west room. So it is good to have a ranger around to count and locate the misplaced lottery pop if it happens to not pop.
