If its any consallation to you RVW, NynJaa said he had to pull the Demons with nin sub otherwise he would died during pull.

And that's perfectly fine. There are different subjobs for different situations. But don't think that poor accuracy with /NIN tells you anything at all about /RNG's accuracy.

I never claimed that /NIN will regularly land acid bolts on exp mobs, and the fact that NynJaa went out and tested /NIN (with the full knowledge that I was specifically talking about Acid Bolts as /RNG) and then tried to throw the totally irrelevant results in my face is a joke. I don't really care about /NIN (or /WAR's) acid bolt accuracy.

So who the **** told you its 12.5% percent ?? I just knocked it with TWO bolts, which according to my simple math, should be a 25% reduction, since I clearly recall you saying "they stack", and its STILL high defence. Hi, owned.

Please quote where I said that Acid Bolts stack. You can't, because I didn't. Reading is fundamental.

Oh, and I LOVE how you completely ignore the fact that a freaking DRAGOON was out-TPing me, and out-damaging me, BEFORE his wyvern's damage. Hi, owned.

So you took a subjob that isn't suited for ranged attacks, added a bunch of ranged accuracy equipment, and successfully accomplished the feat of being able to do nothing good at all. Of course you got outdamaged and out-TPed. You tried to play a /NIN as a /RNG, and ended up doing neither one effectively. Again, it doesn't take any sort of special talent to intentionally gimp yourself.

What would I do with /rng SJ ?? Tickle it with acid bolts, and ***** up my TP gain further without natural haste ??

If you don't even believe that Acid Bolts have a worthwhile effect, why the hell are you quibbling about their accuracy? Just say, "Acid Bolts don't do anything!" and be done with it.

I've already provided a log of a /RNG with lower skill than THF landing Slug Shot against exp mobs at will. Gimping yourself will not erase existing data. All that you'll prove is that you can successfully destroy your potential, which we all already know.

That was your log of Wizzie's NIN/RNG whos ranged acc NEVER fluctuated between 100 or 0 percent. I'll stand by my claim that his parser fked up, because no one goes 0% or 100% ONLY in 31 fights (I think it was 31)

It was 48 fights, and you already played this card. Whether you think the accuracy stats were broken or not, the inescapable fact is that he landed 60+ Slug Shots in 48 fights; you can look at average and total WS damage and see that in crystal clarity. You can't argue around that, and you can't dismiss it. If he landed that many slugs, any claim you might have about his supposed garbage accuracy instantly turns to dust.

So you think I ran around with all that racc gear the whole XP session ??

Let me tell you what good players do:

We use macros.

macro 1: TP gear
macro 2: RA gear

and so on...

You're not doing yourself any favors here.

What you appear to be saying is that you, a THF/NIN eating sushi with normal TP gaining gear, got out-TPed by a DRG.

There are really only two explanations:

1) Your playstyle was significantly affected by the focus on RACC, and this prevented you from gaining TP at the same rate you normally would with sushi; i.e. trying to play a role you weren't suited for made you gimped

2) Your playstyle was NOT significantly affected by the focus on RACC, and so you gained TP at the normal rate you would have with sushi; i.e. as a THF/NIN with sushi, you would normally get out-TPed by DRGs

I'm trying to let you save some face by blaming your weak performance on your mismatched gear setup, but if you want to put it all on your own skill, then that's up to you.

<indignant dragoon rant>
This is normal, and not anything worth being worried about. A THF/NIN in my linkshell was in a party with a dragoon, and he commented about how something must be wrong with him.

To which the higher level THF in my linkshell replied. "SAM RNG and DRG are the only jobs that can regularly out TP me."

Being part of an underrated job yourself, please don't choose my job when comparing how bad your performace is in a certain situation. Believe it or not, we don't suck at everything.
</indignant dragoon rant>

Which I guess to bring things around to the idea that some jobs are more gimped than others: no job is completely and inherently gimped. It's really the attitude of the players that makes any job gimped.

And I think every job complains about some part of their job. That's the essence of these forums.
