I can get some of my spell macros to work and some just will not work.

Such as Cure works for me. I have it set like this:

/ma "Cure" <t>

however I cannot get Cure II to work for the life of me... I keep gettig a command error. I have it set like this:

/ma "Cure II" <t>

I have tried all the combinations of Cure II such as CureII, Cure II, Cure2, and Cure 2. What am I doing wrong?

What is the error message?

[/ma "Cure II" <t>] is a correct macro line.

I will double check but I am sure I am using [/ma "Cure II" <st>].

Now that I think about it is it double or single quotes? I want to say double... I will check unless someone else beats me to it.

error message says that it is a command error

I have it exactly the way you have it in brackets up there.

Unless I am getting the "II" part wrong. Do you use upper case I's or lower case l's?

The 'II' has to be upper case. Spell names must be spelled exactly as they appear on your list.

/ma "Cure II" <st>
/ma "Dia" <t>
/ws "Red Lotus Blade" <tb>

It is Roman Numerials. II (uppercase ii)

I was hoping for an exact/very close wording of the error message so I can try to duplicate it.

k I have it the way you have it right now with two uppercase I's

like this:

/ma "Cure II" <t>

and when I go to use it it says "Command error" in the chat window.

However Cure works for me just fine.

OK. I do not think I can test until about 1930 EST. I will try to have a post out by 2000 EST.

Let me do some double checking and testing.

If anyone can do this sooner then by all means do so please.

I wonder if perhaps he is not selecting a target first, and that's causing the error?

Do not know.

That is the reason for the testing, to find out how to get that error.

/ma "Cure II" <st>

It has to be that he has no target designated. That's the only time I get command errors when using macros.

No because if no target is set one gets the message about needing a valid target.

I have mine set to /ma "Cure II" <stpc>
when I hit the macro I can then choose F1-F6 for which party member I want to heal (you are always F1 in your group). Also allows me to mainting a lock on the mob we are thrashing. If solo or healing outside group I use regular target and cast methods.

It appears from what you are saying that you are entering it properly. Do make sure if you use <t> that you have a target selected ahead of time. In group again can use F1-F6 to target groupy then hit your macro. Let us know if any of this worked out for you and good luck!

Would I be able to use this Macro even if I'm not in a party? I was thinking about creating this Macro so I only have to create a single Macro rather than having to either create a new one for when I join a party, and keep modifying my current one?
