1040 sq foot two story, so not huge, but the main floor has a really nice open layout.

Monosyllable congratulations.

Basement and/or crawl spaces to hide bodies? Also how defensible against zombies?

Full basement, shed in the backyard for bodies.

I don't think it's particularly zombie proof.

Definitely. I love fresh veggies and herbs. backyard is south facing, hopefully it gets enough sun to have a small garden.

Ok, Wow. That was supposed to be "New Mexico," but I guess my phone wasn't having that when I typed it on the way out. Awkward.

Sounds so much like my house, the size and everything. Congrats and have fun. My "male perspective" on owning a home: you need a barbecue for summer and a snow blower for winter, and you're set. I don't know if children are in the picture for you, but never, ever get a pool. Never. Nope, never.

Grats on the house, Xsarus.

How long until you've turned it into the Fortress of Solitude?

Those small wavepools they show commercials for once in a while have a heated version that can double as a jacuzzi, which has so far been worth every penny. Gating it off from the leprechaun and her trusty mount was a bit of a challenge, though.

Yup. I already have a house, so I'll be moving over the snowblower and bbq. I have a sweet BBQ, three burner, with rotisserie. Nice high top for big birds etc.

I'm currently going through the planning of what I want to leave in the current house (turning it into a rental) and what I want to take to the new house.

I turn it into the fortress of solitude on the 17th of April. Although I'll be living with a friend, so less solitude.

There is a shed in the back not pictured. Gravel parking area big enough for two vehicles beside it.

Wow, that's a great space. I love the layout of the rooms and the hardwoods...

All that counter space is nice, too. Too bad on the electric stove, but there had to be SOMETHING that wasn't perfect.

Very nice!

The electric stove is directly above the gas line in the basement, so the hope is to replace it with something like this:
