that sounds awesome to young me. cause well i could go to bars.

sounds terrible to older me. cause well people that are allowed to go to bars should be of an age where i am allowed to hook up with them and it is ok.

It's 18 for harder alcohol (15% and up I think) so most clubs and bar don't allow anyone below 18 in anyway.

For Protein.

You probably already know all that but I thought it was really cool. Also, is that something you do research for too?

I think he's just learning how to best manipulate people's memories so that everyone will remember him winning the presidency or something.

I missed that thread somehow, thanks for the link.

This kind of research hasn't been done in humans, because it's not ethical to try to prevent people from forming memories, but we can use propranolol to erase the emotional trace of memories
There is so much win in that quote. I mean win in terms of interesting stuff to me.

And since when is it unethical to give people bourbon to prevent them from forming memories? Well, I guess if you give it to them for that specific reason . . .

I think the unethical part comes from not using whiskey to make someone forget stuff.

As a primary school teacher, I support this statement.

I start every Monday morning at work by trying to get 70+ kids to stand in line and shut up.

They compound PE, so we're three classes and three teachers, but I'm the one in charge of warm-up exercises, which means yelling at 70-some kids who are all pumped on sugary cereal and a bike ride to school.

Good ****.

Good sh*t.
You just took me all the way back to Mr Micros in High School. The man was cut, no one ignored him. He always pronounced "O.K." -- "Oh Kee".

The FFXIV server issues are nearing the end of my tolerance. It's a shame that this launch has been so ridiculously awful, because they did such a good job revamping the game. But this has definitely gone beyond what is acceptable launch woes. I'm willing to put up with a lot of server issues, but this are well beyond what you should see, and it's been a week since release (not counting the days of early access).

And considering they only even allowed for a super limited beta period, that's an issue. I have no clue why a company would skimp on a beta in this day and age. I get it, you don't want people to burn out early. But to actually make money, you need a game for them to pay for...
