Just to let you know, i have read the druid 101 in advance of writing this.

I have decided (after beinf full feral all the way to level43 so far) that i will hit level49, stop leveling, get nice gear and just pvp (sort of like a high level twink). As moonkins look really good fun, and the reason i play the game is for fun, i will almost definately respec to balance.

Trouble is, i have barely even looked at balance talents before today. I am having trouble with choosing some talents over others, e.g. control of nature or brambles.

What would be a good build for a balance druid then? Bearing in mind that i will purely be PVPing any i will stop at level 49 (so will only have 50 spendable talents).

Also, i am having trouble getting stamina and intelect/+spell damage on leather items at my level. Are there any must have items that i should be using at this level? Plus, should my priority be stamina, then intelect, then spirit (cant seem to find any +spell damage)?

Thanks in advance

My balance druid is at 48, so I can answer questions about that, but I've never PvPed, so I can't tell you stuff about that. Anyways, here is a build that I think is good for PvP, based on what others have said in the forum. It's not hard to tell which are the discretionary points, so that can certainly be fiddled with.

At this point, no, there isn't a lot of +dmg leather gear, but you're more likely to find it as +nature or +arcane, which might be useful. But with talents, you're turning 1/4 of your intellect into +dmg, so you can look to really max that out. I'm still using the Illusionary Rod, but I'd love to upgrade to the Vexing Cane, Staff of Jordan, or Glowing Brightwood Staff. The first is a drop, while the second two are horrendously expensive epics. There is at least one great LW recipe available at that level, Wildfeather Leggings.

I'll let the more qualified take over from here.

Edit: Oh, look who's a scholar. Oh yeah.

Thanks, my build was sort of what i was looking at, so i think ill go with one like that (if not, one very similar).

As for gear, i am hoping that a some friends will help me in BRD, to the rare pyromancer boss. He drops a rather nice staff and leather robe.

Shame im not a leatherworker, thos pants are amazing.

Get the Ironfeather Shoulders...The Vexing Cane from ZF...and I have the leather legs and chest piece that the same boss drops...Both are blues, and both are very nice for a balance druid.

You only have 40 spendable points and not 50.

You won't get your pet trees, so max out your dreamstate talent, wrath of cenarious, and lunar guidance.

I would also get vengeance maxed, skip brambles, and stack as much stam as you can. Int is important, as you are a caster, and you get 400% armor. But armor does nothing against spell dmg...you can get scorched by a mage or a lock if you don't have decent stam.

If you are gonna PvP strictly with your Doomkin you're gonna have a lot of fun, but you have to get the right gear before you ding 50, or else you're gonna have some problems.

Getting friends to run you through BRD wouldn't be a bad idea, but if you go too late, you'll acquire the exp to put you up into 50 and you'll ***** up your whole plan.

Gear Up & Kick ***

But isn't feral much more effective in pvp any way you slice and dice it?
