Best bracket for feral pvpFollow

Having originally created a druid for the 20-29 bracket, I soon realized (unfortunately after i had begun the process) that this bracket was probably not the best for him as his DPS would never come close to that of a rogue, warrior, or w/e.

Now, having learned this lesson, I am wondering which bracket, be it 30's or 40's, feral druids generally find more success. While I realize his DPS will never be the best, I merely want to know which bracket would be better in terms of overall effectiveness as a feral druid.

I briefly looked at the druid spell list and quickly noticed that we get both pounce and ferocious bite in our 30's which i imagine would help significantly in pvp, while at 40 we get dire bear form, again very helpful.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Well as you said, we get both pounce and ferocious bite in our mid30's, but don't forget that druids also get travel form at lvl 30... making us the fastest players on the field for any prolonged amount of time. But we also get dire bear form at 40.

By your description your looking to do dps, so im gonna have to say go for the 30-39 bracket as I have found that this is the easiest bracket for druids in pvp.

Hope it helps,

Spiritwalker

P.S. Herm... triple posts... reminds me of someone but I cant quite think of who? :P

Repost of what I put in one of your duplicate threads... Try to be careful about double and triple posts...

I'd suggest trying them all to find what you like.

In 29, you got Cat form speed bonus so you make a pretty good FC. DPS ain't too bad but, indeed, you don't have your openers.

39 you got Travel Form so you're even a better FC. Got some openers for better DPS. I'd say this is about the best bracket for Druids, but some people prefer other brackets.

49... I dunno, never really liked that one so much as a Druid. Everyone got mounts so suddenly Travel Form gets a bit less effective. Still good, but just not as much cause people can actually catch up to you. Still fun.

Try 19 and 29 if you want. I'd definitely go 39 though, but that may differ for other people.

I melted faces too numerous to count in BG at 39.

I've yet to run the 49 BG, as I just dinged 48 today...

I'm not feral spec, but I'd still recommend 39, as the 49 BG will contain a good number of powerful opponents. While without your talent spec upgrade that becomes availabe at lvl 40...LoP, Moonkin, you're still a force to be reckoned with.

You have Tranquility to heal the whole party, and you can still rack up some decent DPS in any form you choose.

Plus, from what I hear, the twinks are 19, 29, 49...usually in that order as far as population.

I'll be in AB for the 49 bracket tonight, and I'll repost to tell you whether I get torched or do the torching.

GOOD LUCK

Oh...

And at 39, we aren't the fastest players on the field...

Ghost Wolf is 40% speed increase as well.

If you're feral speced you can indeed be the fastest traveling player on the field. There is a talent that will allow you to move at 70% of normal speed.

Little mistake, the speed boost only applies to cat form (with a base of +0%), not Cat and Travel. So you can pick 30% in cat or 40% in travel. Or sprint then switch when sprint runs out :)

We are indeed the fastest however, as I believe even with talents a Shaman still has a short cast time on spirit wolf, whereas ours is instant. Also, inside a shaman must run at normal speed, whereas a druid can at least Sprint if the situation calls for it.

shammy ghost wolf is also dispellable by priests and other shaman. nothing can make a druid shift out of a form except the druid him/herself (or nefarian...).

I'm currently doing PVP at level 39 on my Druid and it's a blast. I'm loving it. I'm not twinked, but after some cursory inspects of other Druids in the BGs, I am far better geared than them. With more PVP rewards (I only have the boots so far, the +agility +stamina +ap +run speed ones) I'll do even better. I see a great many Draenei Shamans so I'm not the fastest on the field, but I'm tied for number one. I love the versatility of the Druid. If I'm in AB and I see someone capping one of my side's bases, I can just shift to caster form and Moonfire them to stop the capping, shift to cat and demolish them. If I'm capping a base myself, I can stealth as close as possible, check and see if I have a good shot at it (stealthed enemies can ruin this plan, but often don't), and then ninja it. I've done that many times already. I'll see a pitched battle of about 10 horde vs 10 alliance at Stables and no one is guarding the flag and I'll cap it, effectively giving Horde a big advantage.

39 is my advice.

I also loved 30-39 bracket. There is lots of great gear for you to wear, plus, if you can afford it, you can get those great enchants that require level35+ gear so you 29 twinks cant use them. Also, i loved the fact that as no one has mounts, only druids and shamans could keep up with me. Since moving up into the 40-49 bracket, running the flag seems noticeably harder.
