can someone please explain to me how i can make a perfect killing machine of a druid. The order i need to go in from the start in my training points and where should i distribute them from the start.

This is my first druid so i am very very noobish with him.

All and any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

thank you very much

SovietKGB.

Are you a commie?

Oh about your question. The perfect killing machine is whatever you are good at.

Feral Druids rely on melee to kill, Balance Druids rely on magic to kill and Restoration Druids rely on a party to kill (j/k, they do all right, but slower since healing doesn't deal damage).

I think my current build is awesome. All I need is to decide whether I should go for Furor or Improved Mark of the Wild.

Tiger's Fury + Claw crit = 505 damage.
Tiger's Fury + Ravage crit = 1335 damage.

I'm level 49.

Well if your just gonna go for PvP either go Feral and Balance. Ive never played balance but ive been hit for 1.5k+ crit from a wrath lol.

I myself R a feral druid with a build of 0/30/21 and i have a good time pvping. My only real probs are stun lock rogues and Preists.

My Build is -

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/druids2/talents.html?00000000000000005000521303212150055523000010000

I took the Resto parts cuz the NS keeps me alive long after i shoulda died, (NS + Healing touch = OMG full hp)

Course if you just wanna smack people like mad you could go

Other Build -

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/druids2/talents.html?01400530100000005000521303212151050000000000000

Course im not all that familiar with the balance tree but it looks good =P (Course feel free to change it to fit what you want)

Druids FTW

Pasty isn't retarded. If you'll notice his post count, I THINK he would know his way around the forums. Hence, he knows he's posting in a topic for Druids, and from that I can conclude he's making a joke about Druids not being killing machines, and if this "commie" wants a killing machine to roll a Rogue.

Am I close Pasty?

Edit: Before I get masacred by "pro-choice" druids, let me restate that. We can't be "killing machines" persay, but instead just good damage dealers. Hope that creates a little less tension and bad blood ;)

Starmoon, F NE Druid, Level 27 on Kirin Tor, Resto with Improved Shapeshifting.

I remember something like this, when the guy wanted a build where a Druid wouldn't shapeshift http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/class.html?wclass=6;mid=1141328249155345570;num=7;page=1

we are at our best with Versitality man, not just one single aspect of the game

Rate up to Patsy for making me laugh tho! :D

Did you check out the sticky before writing your request?

He has a few examples of good builds in the second post.

Yeah, I was being ironic. And I am a feral druid, but I recognize that with any build, the main strength of the druid is not Damage, or tanking, or healing. It's versatility. So what the OP really should be looking for is a versatility machine, or if all he wants is to kill maim destroy, then he wants a rogue.

Sorry, I'll cite you next time. But the opportunity was too good to pass up.

Back on the subject of this post...Sovietkgb, in truth the wonderful thing about a druid is that we can be powerful in many different capacities. The main thing is that you have to learn how to master your forms and figure out what works best for you. I have been a powerful balance druid and well as a vicious feral build. In truth, no one can tell you how to spec your druid, because what works for one person doesn't work for another.

Druids will never out DPS a rogue or mage...maybe a warlock. They will never out tank a warrior. We can out heal a priest and paladin...but that is a different conversation. So I guess what I am saying is that if you sole focus is on being a killing machine, roll and rogue or mage...if you want to be the best all-around class then stick with your druid and figure it out yourself...like we all did!

I think Druids are lots of fun and are pretty darn good at killing. I know a Rouge can down a single target faster then me (Not by much) BUT the difference is after the fight I need 3 seconds to heal (None if I have Natural Swiftness) and I am back to killing. I have to say leveling my Druid is going much faster than my Mage (Level 60 Mage) did. I have no down time really, I kill 3-4 mobs shift in to caster, heal then back to feral. No down time to drink like my mage had because I regen the mana while I am in Feral. It is great! If I get an add I simple shift to Bear and deal with it. I know, I could just sheep it as a mage, but if I run out of mana I am dead. Since I am not as dependant on mana as a Feral Druid it is too easy.

One thing to note is I have much more cash than when I was leveling my mage, so I might have slightly better gear on my Druid in comparison. At level 32 I am criting in the low 500s.

As a couple have said we can do many things so embrace your versatility. If you are in a group DPSing and you see the Priest is out of mana shift into caster and heal the group will live longer and thank you for your help. I have saved a few groups this way.

Life is good as a Druid.
