Seal of command + freedom of movement + divine shield + holy light + seal of command + seal of command + seal of command + hammer of justice FTW

I'm assuming you are talking about a fight against a shaman?

'tis true .. i was talking to a pvp priest (who rolled a hunter on my pve server) and he said pallies are just "annoying".

pvp .. i agree, we lack the dps etc, other than some hp+armor+heals we're not much good.

oh and the 1 stun thing ; )

pve though, we have more uses.

sadly i have to agree with "when I come across a pally it is just some 10-12 year old that is obsessed with the idea of being a "knight." " =( which is why so many people think paladins suck outright, but if i may be so bold ... i rolled a pally .. am currently at 45 and i think im quite good at both pvp and pve. i have only ever lost 2 duels, one 'cause he was a damn good rogue .. the other because i totally underestimated the mage. that is all

I personally see nothing wrong with someone wanting to play a "knight". I would love to know how it's different than someone wanting to play a "wizard" or what have you. The thing is, if they were really trying to play what they thought a knight was, they would be honorable and helpful. Unfortunately that seems to not be the case far too often. One of the best things about MMOs is the ignore list. Smiley: wink

I say if it annoys someone to fight something that will be dificult to kill, don't fight it. Barring some circumstances there's always a choice NOT to fight. From my own point of view though, I would gain much more satisfaction out killing something that was hard instead of easy.

As far as your motto is concerned, I had to laugh at that.Smiley: lol

Someone on this forum said a while ago

"5% of Pallys are really good at being a pally and are awesome in a group
20% of Pallys are good at their class and are valuable in a group
The other 75% of pallys are crap, don't have any idea of what they are doing, obsessed with the idea of wearing plate and healing spells, and are just plain annoying to group with.

To those top 25%, i love having you in my group and you make the game more enjoyable..."

Its not word for word but its the best i can remember...

I agree with this statement entirely, and understand why so many people end up hating pallys, and if you find a good pally, you will love grouping with them...

Furthermore, the pallys strength lies in his ability to outlast opponents, which is why his dps is low, and he has healing spells...

And we are much more useful in groups then in one on one situations because we can change rolls to fill deficiencies in the group. ie, group has extra adds, the pally offtanks... the healer runs oom, the pally then heals... the cloth/leather wearing resser dies, the pally ress's.

Don't Hate us all, Just hate 75% of us... its up to you to decide where we all fit in

Heh...guess I'm lucky. Most of the pallies I've ever grouped with have been in that top 25% echelon...ah well. The strangest thing I find is, that at least on my podunk lil PvE sever of Argent Dawn, in any neutral area...the Horde is about ten times more helpful than the Alliance. Playing my rogue, I tend not to get in bad situations often. However when I do, it tends to go a little somethin like this...*Alliance character walks by* Me:Little help? AC:...*Alliance character walks away*

Now for the Horde...*Horde character walks by* *Knowing he won't understand me, I just continue trying not to die* *I can only assume, HC mouses over me and sees my low health. HC proceeds to help me destroy the enemies.* * I bow to HC, he returns bow, we go back to our business*

Guess it's probably diffrent on a PvP server...ah well.

To be back on topic, paladins that know what they are doing are a true force to be reckoned with...deadly allies in PvE, deadly enemies in PvP.

every class is meant for pvp. those top 25% paladins, and especially the top 5% are scary as hell when you have to fight em.

doesnt matter what class you are, a good pally can woop your ***, not always win but really woop your ***.

this is the point ive been trying to make, people say pallies are a noob class, but play one and youll find out they are really hard to master, especially for pvp. but thats why the good ones stand out so much. ive seen paladins who resist more than 60% of the stuff a mage throws at them, ive seen paladins who can kill a shaman in 10 seconds, ive seen paladins who can laugh at a rogues damage. if a paladin knows what theyre doing (only so many do) they are, in my book the scariest class. even if they dont damage you much without procs and crits, by the time they are close to dying your running back to your corpse and hoping theyre gone.

and anyone who says paladins are weak and not scary at all, you obviously havent ran into a good one, if you have you would have more respect for the class. yes there are about 70% of paladins who have no clue what they are doing but can heal and wear plate so they still somehow manage in pve, so people label them as a noob class, but when you see a paladin woopin **** in pvp then try fighting them yourself and die, youll know there is much more to the pally class that only so many of them have mastered. i have nothing against shamans or anything but if you ask me they take way less skill to play.

I was recently in Korea and I saw on TV...for those who don't know Korea has 2 "Game Stations" one is 24/7 Starcraft, I **** you not, the other is various different games (sometimes starcraft in case one channel of starcraft isn't enough for you)... World of Warcraft. They were having some kind of tournament Horde VS Alliance ( I don't really speak Hangul well and my wife was at her brothers) atleast from what I gathered. Anyway I watched a paladin win about 9 times in a row until I got tired of seeing him win. The guy would not die. And just when the opponents thought they had him he lived longer. Granted he had some really nice gear, he abused the **** out of a Hammer of the Titans. Evertytime it stunned he would heal. My point being ( after a whole ******** of pointlessness) the good paladins are awesome the ones who don't even carry a symbol of divinty or cry that all divine intervention does is kill them need to be shot, seriously.
