Couple of bonecraft questions..Follow

So I'm thinking about taking BC to 100. I have a couple of questions though for the high levels. Since you can break the 31 teir for the SH how offten do you actually get the +1? My second question is how offten do you fail crafting the dragon harness? I want to make both of these items some day myself and so I thought I'd ask the high levels here. Thanks.

The 31+ tier on the Scorp harness is a myth (like the 31+ teir on a haubergeon). Here's the basic problem: Support craft level. At some point someone reported (incorrectly) that the leathercraft support was at level 36. This would mean that you could hypothetically break the 31 teir in both bonecraft and leathercraft via 97 bonecraft +3 from furnature, glasses, apron, 63 leathercraft +1 gloves +3 adv support.

Repuatable sites have now either removed the 36 leathercraft requirement (replacing it with either 46 or unknown). I believe it's possible to get into the 11+ tier with the scorpion harness due to never being able to break the 31+ tier from the leathercraft support craft. Remember if someone could do it, than that person would probably be buying (close to) 100% of the V. Claws because they'ld have a ton of money thanks to the 10 million + profits they'ld be getting off every 3rd or 4th synth.

If we really want to find out once and for all the real cap for a scorpion harness... just send me a claw. I'm on Fairy server.
Yeah... I know nobody will send me one. But if somebody was willing to fund the claw, I could find out. I haven't leveled my leather skill yet, but my bonecraft skill is high enough already. So I could try the synth. If it doesn't work, raise leather by one point and try again. It's risky and the claw would probably be lost in the break when it does let the synth go through, but at least we would know for sure.

Crafting scorpion harness for profit due to 100 bone is a myth.

Like someone has said before, you cannot break the 31 cap due to leather requirement. Yes, the leather requirement is a fool requirement. You cannot break the 31 tier on it.

So this means 11 tier, 10% on average.

What you also need to remember is that there is about a 10% failure rate. I probably dont have to tell you this but a failure craft almost always (almost 100%) result in claw break.

You lose on, you have to HQ one to break even at best.

Therefore, the entire SC market is not profitable. Ive seen too many noobies purely leveling bone for the SC market.

Man, if it were that easy, the market would have been raped by now.

There is at least 30+ bone 100 JP and 7 western bone 100 on Sylph. You see the same name buying Vclaw over and over again. And only 1 HQ has been put on AH in the last 3-4 months.


The guys lvl bone purely for SC harness are are really in for a shock.

I think anyone who can afford to break a claw to find out the real cap for a synth, is probably smart enough not to trust a random person on their server with one.
