-Complete list of mining locations and Ores-Follow

lower lvls lvl 25+ wil avoid agro. on third floor id guess 35+ (i still get agro at lvl 30) same goes for ghelsba and giddeus.

well i guess i need to ask what lvl do u start finding the 'mining points' on then?

I just got a Translucent Stone out of Palborough last night BTW.

So Colored Stones are possible to get from there.

Is there a mine where I can get a motherload of silver from? Zeruhn and Palborough have both been fairly lousy for silver (more so Zeruhn, where silver is as hard to find as Darksteel). I'm a lvl 14 Goldsmith atm so I'd really like to be able to find a reliable (as well as cheaper) spot for my silver needs without buying from the AH in Bastok.

few more notes
1. whoever said you can get colored stones in tahrongi and shakrami is wrong, ytou can only get bone type items. I mine there the most and I have never gotten ANY type of Ore, only bones; bat fangs, giant femur, chicken bones, giant stingers, and a few other minor things ive forgotten. but no Ore and no stones. And ive mined all over the place in there not just the first room etc. but all over the place and on both sides

2. about half the higher lvl mobs on 3rd floor of palborough still agro at 33, so it seems 34+ is the lvl you nmeed to be to avoid agro not 35+. My mistake.

3. # of mines before the spot goes away. ive had it be completely random. Ive had the excavation/mining point disapear in only 1-2 attempts and ive had them sit there for 9-10 attempts(yes, 9-10). Keep in mind this, since the last major update the %chance your pickaxe will break is increased as you continue trying tyo mine on the same spot.

4. orichalcan ore can be mined in bubumiru penninsula. After talking with some high lvls I see constantly in the area has confirmed this. It can NOT be mined in shakrami for reasons mentioned above. But I myself have not found a mining point nor reall know where to look.

5. pices: Adaman Ore is ~130k each in Jeuno on Shiva and Orichalcan is ~80k each. For those who were curious.

6. Good rule of thumb, no matter what Im doing or whatever I always try to keep ~6 pickaxes and hatchets with me all the time, who knows when you come across something. I was out lvling and came across a hlogging point. tried once and got mahaogony log, thats 10k in my pocket with no problems. Just a little recommendation for everyone ;)

I believe I have set a mining record for one spot... I was able to mine 24 times at a mine point on the 3rd level of pal mines. I had 1 stack of picks and 2/3 of the field gear (got it all now). for those curious, it was the one on the west side of the map where a scorpion spawns, in the small hook shaped dead end hall.

DO NOT MINE YUGHOTT GROTTO(sp?) WITHOUT FULL FIELD GEAR!!! It is the only place where I get more failures, pebbles, and failure/brokens, than i get ore. I can't imagine the frustration if i didn't have the full set. also its swarming with orcs, so make sure ur high enough not to get aggro.

as for 1 plat every 1-2hrs, u must be lucky. Pal. mines is so overmined u can spend 30 minutes running ur circuit and not even see a MP.

At least on my server (caitsith) sandoria is horrible for selling ore. low prices and slow selling. I unloaded a full AH plus my bazaar with about 10 iron/zinc ores in one night at bastok. my mule has had 4 mythril and 3 irons at AH in sandoria for 2 days now with only the iron selling every once in a while.

Don't mine the Mythril Seams! They are for a San D'Orian quest and won't yield anything of value.

I've gotten a translucent rock from Ifrit's Cauldron..

The super expensive stuff is found in Ifrit's Cauldron and for anyone unfamiliar with the place- level 70s get aggro there... Have fun ^^

Gusgen is a good mine, though I've had little luck with it. To avoid all aggro in Gusgen one should be about level 50, unless they're running around with sneak on.

You guys seem to forget that there is a boat on the 3rd floor of Pal mines that will take you back to Zeruhn in a flash. Mighty handy I say...

Im going to answer a few questions im not sure got answered.

In Palb. Mines there are about 6 mining spots on the first level, second level had about the same, give or take. The third Level DOES have spots, and a couple of NMs as well. There are 4-5 spots on the Third floor. All of them are in the four corners of the map.

One is in the Room High NE with the scorp spawn.
One is in the Little Hook on the left side of the map.
One is At the very bottom Left side in the room with the Quadav eggs, and a NM spawns there, drops Marine Shield and Bonzes Circlet.
The last two spots are in the bottom right corner, above the splot of ink marking the dragon. They are in the rooms with the Mythral Seems, but dont Mine those, they yeild no ore, only gravel.

The other NM is in H-7 of the mines on third floor, really bad spawn rate tho, varies too much, from an hour to anywhere around 3-4. He Drops the GSword Braveheart and Course Gauntlets.

As for Gusgen, Most of the mining spots are far into the mines. There are one or two on each level from what ive seen. But the very bottom floor has 2, then the room next to it has one, and the floor right above that has at least one in each room.

Gusgen is kinda nice because of the multiple darksteel ores you can get, But if you have the time I highly recommend Palb. Mines if its not busy. MOST (not all) spots are found at the end of a hall in a oval room that dead ends. "Cant give away all my secrets!"

I Heard that Worker's tunica improves the rate of rare/hard to get ore, like patinum and gold. It also decrease the rate of your axe breaking! Wonder if this is true, does anyone knows for sure that can comfirm on this information?

I've been searching for worker's set at many locations but they alway seems to run short on supply. So if anyone's clothcraft skill is 69 and above can help me synthesize two sets of worker's I'd appreciated! (Will pay for both sets of course! =])

You CAN get colored stones from Shakrami Maze. I dug up a yellow stone when I was getting rid of all my pickaxees (leftover from DRG flag quest) while completing the crystal ball quest for Lower Jeuno.

I also dug up a giant femur, 2 scorpion claws and a couple of bone chips.

Colored stones are rare results from mining just about anywhere, it seems. It's entirely about luck.

There is one other place you can get Colored Stones.
