Gotta say, I really enjoyed the new Doom-- sadly, my PS4 stopped working about halfway through it. Something about a faulty HDMI port or something... No idea how I'm going to fix it. I never even got to try multiplayer.

Long story short:

Smiley: thumbsup

* It plays like classic Doom therefore is far superior to Doom 3 in every way. I mean, it really is just like the real Doom games brought to life with modern graphics. There's just something about the horror/Hellscape environments I'm just really fascinated in.
* Has a built in level editor which has always been a fun part of Doom for me in the past.

Smiley: thumbsdown

* Enemy corpses disappear shortly after they die.
* Enemy redesigns are a bit disappointing. It feels like playing Halo or some other generic modern FPS game sometimes. I really feel like they could have done a better job making the enemies scarier and less Gears of War.
* I'm hungry

Just checked on Brutal Doom and it looks like it's more fun than 2016 Doom anyway:

Gonna play the hell out of this.

Doom 3 was balls. The new one looks fun but not so much fun that I can't wait on a good sale price and/or MSRP reduction.

Not happy about the Revenants becoming cannon fodder in this game along with the Hell Knights, but it's better than them trying to make new enemy types right away.

Speaking of, DOOM is currently $20 at Gamestop. Both console and PC versions. No local GS has it for PC though and shipping is another five bucks which ain't gonna happen.
