Anyone play Sword of Asumi? The guy in charge of this project apparently was behind that VN as well. Reviews on Steam seem to be mixed; good art and music, decent story, noticeable typos, bugs, and abysmally short with only the illusion of choice seems to the general theme.

You could try Sunrider, free VN/tactical combat sim on steam. The writing is bad, the drawing is bad, but at least the combat system is interesting.

...And if you haven't played it, Sengoku Rance.

Wasn't that with other players as the targets though? I always thought of Second Life as a graphical chat room, tbh.
