It was in Spanish though so at first I assumed they were cancelling my order and bitching at me for trying...

Fingers crossed that mine is waiting for me when I get home from work...!

Another Market Day, all disappointing choices. I had really hoped for the bereskarn hunt, but instead I received what seems to be three choices that are one-offs. Each give one VTS. My choices are:
The Undaunted Chevalier
1. Derring-Do challenge, Win: +Trophy, +Derring-do, and +Dignity. Lose, only +Derring-do.
2. Dignity Challenge, Win +Dignity and +Trophy
3. Do nothing, lose dignity.

A Sinister Discovery
1. +Twilight, + Clues, +Trophy
2. -Twilight, +Clues + Authority

You dream of the Shame
No mention of rewards, three options.

Best outcome for me seems like challenge 1, but I only have a 64% chance of success (curse you, low Derring-Do!). Wouldn't want to waste a Market Day card. I'd pick one of the "You Dream of the Shame" cards but I think the result will be a Secret... and I have 6 already, so it'll be mostly useless. But... why not, right?
"You were a man," you answer. "And, like anyone, a mix of fineness and folly."
...

Looking deeper His face twists in anguish. "Not that!" He snarls. "There is no more terrible a judgement than 'ordinary'!"

Looking closer, you see the grey streaks in his beard. The blemish on his forehead from a childhood accident. The way his bone fingers fidget on his cuffs when he's nervous. You awake with the realisation that everyone is imperfect, whether the world calls them hero, monster...or Divine. Even the Maker's elect is human, and flawed. You order the Wayward Bard to discover what he can about the Most Holy Justinia, fifth of her name. Perhaps there's something you can use.

Your feelings regarding the Shame are ambiguous.
You've gained 1 x Secrets (new total 24).
You've lost 1 x Market Days Left (new total 2).
Market day has passed.
You've gained 20 x Clue (new total 21).

Yup, pretty useless, but at least a goodly amount of clues.

Edit: Huh, maybe not useless. Immediately after I received a Morrigan update:
The Scornful Sorceress is leaving. "My work is complete. Thank you, your Grace, for your consideration and your hospitality. I am certain Orlais is grateful."

Servants carry something tall, flat and wrapped in layer upon layer of silk to her carriage. "Is there some way I can thank you for your loyal service to the Empress?" she asks, trying to divert your attention.

Ask for information: She must have heard something at court you can use in negotiations with the Divine. Gain a Secret.
Ask if there's anything she can do about Serault's more unnatural problems: Set a thief to catch a thief. Set a witch to catch a curse. This will reduce your Twilight to 0.
Ask what's under the silks :She said she owed you. This is your price. You will gain a Secret, but Serault's Twilight will increase.

Additional spoilers for the result, as it seems obvious what I'd choose... but is important...
Reflection
She sighs. "Oh, you are one of those. I bet if you were given a wish you would wish for three more wishes, would you not? Very well, come on, come on." She leads you to her carriage, where she loosens the ties on her mysterious cargo and flips back the silks.

It is a mirror, clear as diamond. "The elves call it an Eluvian: a seeing glass." You feel an impression of yawning depth, as if you were standing at the edge of a chasm. You lean forward. Her hand catches your elbow. "No. Do not look." Why? What would you see? The Sorceress frowns. "Well, yourself for a start. And take it from the rest of us, that is no easy thing to look at. Beyond that, who knows? Glass has two sides, your Grace, and there are stranger directions than 'North' and 'South'."

Why does the Empress want it? The sorceress flicks the sheet back over the glass. "You have your answer, your Grace. It will have to do for now. You have been gracious and intriguing. I do hope your curiosity does not land you in trouble." She bids you farewell, and rides east.

You've gained 1 x Secrets (new total 25).
You've gained 20 x Twilight (new total 49 - Shadows lengthen).
Your 'The Scornful Sorceress' Quality has gone!
The Scornful Sorceress showed you the Eluvian she had been repairing in the glassworks.

That's cool, though now I have TWO worthless secrets Smiley: lol Need to find one more in the next day or two...

I know just enough to Spanish to know that it was the preload notification. (Well, that and it had my key code included). I'm preloading now. I have a feeling I won't be getting much sleep next week. I did burn off the rest of my vacation time for Thanksgiving week though, so I'll have plenty of time to play. I just have to get through next week first...

I grabbed it for $47.99 via GMG's VIP section & have it pre-loaded. Finally won a game of Endless Legend (yay easy mode!), I'm done with CiV: BE until there are more mods, & I'm hoping to finish up Alien: Isolation over the weekend (think I'm right near the end. ******* facehuggers!)

Resisted the urge to also get Farcry 4. Given how big DA III is supposed to be I couldn't commit to them both at the same time, so hoping FC4 gets reduced by Christmas or so.

Finally finished, a day before I can start the game! I've heard if you can reset your area to Korea you can play come the 17th, not the 18th...
Lots of images, lots of spoilers!
DATLC 2

DATLC 3

Thought this was HILARIOUS:
DATLC 4

Apparently you need 8 and 10 favors to get the best endings; each favor is USUALLY 3x VTS. Hence the 30 VTS requirement.
DATLC 5

And finally, the best ending:

15 minutes until Koreans can play. Which also means 15 minutes until anyone using a VPN to trick Origin into thinking you're in Korea can play Smiley: sly

... and I'm stuck here at work for several more hours. BLARGH!

Pre-loading as well. I have so many hero's to choose from from Origins that I cannot remember which ones did what to choose one in the keep. Smiley: frown

I must have played DA:O about 6-8 times all the way through.

Going through the keep was not too bad actually. I found my version of canon and it was a good refresher. Pretty neat. Now to wait 3.5 hours... I'll probably be to tired to do much beyond making a character. Cuz I'm old, and I got to work tomorrow.

Put in a few solid hours... I feel like I've barely scratched the surface. I'm still getting used to the shield and health mechanics. It helps that both Solas and my Inquisitor use Barrier.

I also feel like I have more Iron and Elfroot than the Maker Himself!

My install had a damaged Visual C++ Redistributable. Was easy enough to set to repair once I realized what was wrong but for a while I thought it was related to the game not being launched yet. Glad I looked it up and fixed it before... ummm... five minutes from now.

Initial impressions: long load times. Could be my graphical settings, doubt its my PC. Created a horned, mohawked, & bearded Qunari 2 Handed Warrior. After a graphical tweaking reset, back to it!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed the load times. Even with an SSD it seems to take a bit longer than it should. I went with a Human Mage with a grey goatee and some scars. Early on, I realized that you can just hold down the trigger to continuously attack instead of having to push it each time, I'm pretty happy about that. My finger couldn't handle it for long if I had to spam the trigger. I got just far enough along to pick up my Dragon armor and staff, then upgraded my party's gear before I had to stop. I think I could have ran through that bit in about half the time, but I have this thing where I have to run in the opposite direction that the game directs me to. I can't pass up looking for loot.

Made an ever-so-fancy human male sword 'n board. I only got as far as deciding whether to assault some joint from the front or to take a mountain path but the game ran well on my system on High settings. I noticed the load times since I'd already read complaints but they didn't seem too bad to me.

Controls are taking some getting used to. Are you guys playing controller or M+KB?
