Decay and Armorsmithing?Follow

#1 Jun 12 2007 at 7:58 AM Rating: Decent
I did a search for "decay" and from the posts from about a year or so ago I picked up amongst the bicking/flaming/arguing that decay was taken out of the game and was never put back in.

When i stopped playing ( before CU/NGE) I was a pretty good armorsmith ( I was a master armorsmith/chef 12 pnt. experiment and alot of assymbly bonus's and my partner/rl cousin was a master weaponsmith/Doc). We kept the shop fully stocked and had alot of bussiness.

Ive been looking around, and see that not many armorsmiths, at least on Kett server are around, but the few ive found arent fully stocked and seems like alot of the pieces are actually loots they are selling.

My gut feeling on this is since there is no decay the base of customers would be lower, and sales would be pretty slow compared to the old days.

My question is... Should i go with armorsmith again? or should i go with some other type of trader ( structure/ship and Eng. looks interesting to me too) My gf is gonna be a chef/tailor.

I'm a NGE player...soooo honestly. I can't compare Pre-NGE or Pre-CU.

Yes, decay has been removed. Thus, mostly everything is a one time sell. However, as a Armorsmith, RIS sells pretty well. On my server, it costs at least 8 million for a full set.

If you really are worried about money with Armorsmith, you can sell Skill Enhancement Attachments for Armor that have sockets available to them.

If you manage to Reverse Engineer Power Bits 30+, 3 of these are worth from 40-60,000,000.

That's as far as I know.

Ever since the latest CU, RIS has skyrocketed to a grand total of about 15m, so if your able to, MAKE RIS

I have all but the leggings and boots for RIS....I paid 15 mil for helmet, chest, left bracer, left bicep....I have a cybernetic arm on the right side so I didn't need it, But RIS is very profitible for armorers because it usually very good and usually has stats attached or open sockets that you can sell those attachments making another several mil.
