What do you still like about Star War Galaxies?Follow

Beyond the fact that is Star Wars....think about what you still like about the game and sound off. Noobs are welcome as for I am a noob. If you ask some here change one letter in that word to n to b-oob is a better discription of me, but we have one thing in common....this game. Lets find out why. My first and for most the people I have met online. Some are tools, but very few. Like one of my toons bio says. "I see the galaxy for it's beauty amd splendor, but there is an ugly side, and those who will pay to have it hunted down and killed with remorse."...... I dig that about this game! The graphics while not the greatest I have seen.....ala Oblivion...but enough for me to hunt for 3 weeks to find the perfect view from the front door of my house. I go to Kessel just to check out the black hole.....damn thats cool! Fighting the good fight...being given the opportunity to to pick fight that you face wave after wave of ships until facing 7 ships and a couple of passing enimies jump into the fight on your duty mission....you come limping back to "whatever" space station you happen to be near with a stupid grin on your face 'cause you just beat 12 to 1 odds on a game. For the true obsessive....you have the crafting field.....mining,harvesting,crafting, reverse engineering, experimenting, supply and demand, vendors, maintance, power use, extraction rate.......ok....I'm a bit obsessive...what can I say.

Well thats a start...let us read what you think...be civil...we have enough of what you don't like.

The thing that I like the most about this game is that there is alot of content to choose from. If I get bored of crafting, I can go do some looting, or questing, or even space stuff. or maybe just hang out with friends or decorate my cantina. My point is that I've tried other MMOs but have always come back to this one because there is just more of a variety of things to do (not just quest, quest, quest, quest... and quest some more). and come on... its Star Wars.

I guess some people can't read....WE ALREADY KNOW WHAT YOU DON'T LIKE! This for why you still play the game....if it's that "pathetic" drop your subscription...the game doesn't need you nor was this post for you...so move on.

1) Content. Yeah it's easy but there's always a choice to go and do something else. Some of the other MMOs you just level up and wait for endgame events to happen. Here in mid-level you can go and loot with a combat toon, try out different expertise set-ups, or just sit at the cantina to chatter.

2) Professions. Yes they're small however there's 3 different styles. Combat, Trader (crafting specialists), and Entertainer (social aspect). Sure, I can be a mage in another MMO and craft however you're not guaranteed to raise your skill levels. Talking? Sure, alot of players can just sit around and talk, however Entertainers can give you a buff right on the spot while chatting. Combat, I just love how Expertise sets up your character solo or group (poorly planned out but that's a different story)

3) Space (my personal favorite). Tired of ground combat? Go ahead and try piloting. I can' tell you how many hours I spend a day planning on maximum performance with the parts I have. Oh my god and Space PvP. Lagful but very fun.
Also, a great alternate into making credits.

Hehe, Bon Jovi much? :P

What do I still like? ..still?

I liked being a TKM/Pike Master.

I'm also very suprised that commando or BH is even still in SWG. I figured it'd be Jedi action only. Heh, that's practicly what it is anyway though.

As for what I like about the game, well you won't let me have Star Wars as a reason :p so i've gotta say variety.
There is so much to do my BH is still only mid level because i end up wandering off to do something else. I've probably spent as much time decorating my house as I have questing, or checking out the people/places from the movies and not to forget about my badge whoring ways.
I've only just started to get into space but i'm learning to appreciate that, and all the searching for slightly better equipment that goes with it.
Also I made the mistake of starting up a crafter toon and, like you Az, I have become slightly too obsessed with everything it involves; and now we have Beast Master with even more stuff to gather and make, yay!
Oh and what the hell......it's STAR WARS,and i get to see, fly, use all the things i had as toys when I was a kid (do i mean "was"?), and live in that world again.

Definitely Space - why? Because it remained unmolested by Chapter 6 (which, in theory, would be a gr8 chapter, in server reality, it is just a bad decision with regard to the changes to combat).

I would like to now add roleplay.....that makes a boring day of questing very enjoyable and interesting....I have even reserected a persona I though was long dead within me......The Black Rose.

My friends, PVP (not to be all loud and macho, but the pleasant sound of mutilating your enemy with a 5000 degrees hot energy sword), space, pissing off hardline arrogant guilds like GRD (oh wait, didn't they die out and go to WoW?), my guild and also my city, thats it.

i enoy lots of things...PVP, Space, Treasure Hunts, BB, Helping the Guild....

But you know what i enjoy sitting just outside the SP in Eisley and watching the new guys.....

I find them amusing and quite a breath of fresh air sometimes, and i find if you help a new guy out and he is a good one it will pay off later when they get to cl90... i mean you gotta help the noobs...unless they have the intellegece of a Eopie!

Well, i started WAY after CU and NGE, so there's not realy anything i Dont like. XD
